Kaleb Johnson led Carlisle with 27 points while Yesid Mosquera-Perea chipped in 12. Akim Mitchell and Adrian Hatfield both scored 7 points while Quentin Jackson Jr. had 8 points and freshman forward Ian Steere added 9. The game was tight early as Johnson, Mosquera and Jackson traded buckets with STAB's junior forward Javin Montgomery-Delaurier. Montgomery-Delaurier was the Prep League's player of the year this season and showed a versatile skill set and impressive athleticism for a 6-foot-8 power forward. Johnson, however, broke the game open for the Chiefs with a pair of and-one buckets and Carlisle led 18-8 seven minutes into the game. Carlisle then got into their fast-break with more regularity. With a minute to play before the half, Johnson tossed a lob from the left wing and Steere finished it with two-hands to the loudest applause of the night from a capacity crowd at Carlisle. Steere's finish gave Carlisle a 43-24 lead and Johnson would add another and-one bucket for a 46-27 lead at the half. Four minutes after the break, Johnson had already added a pair of 3-pointers to his tally and the Chiefs took a 61-33 lead as STAB took a timeout. www.martinsvillebulletin.com/article.cfm?ID=45620

Nice write-up from ESPN's recruiting page, which calls Kaleb the "biggest sleeper" in the Big East's class of 2015:
Johnson (No. 100) is a lefty wing who was a late-bloomer in his senior year as we have been monitoring his progress and entered him into the back end of the top 100. His long frame keeps the defense more than honest as he can make 3-point shots while using the dribble to get inside the arc and score. He can score by way of pull-up jumpers and drives, showing a soft touch on floaters. He also draws fouls and converts from the line. Johnson is not a high-level athlete overall and will need to get stronger to learn how to free himself up when defended, but he will bring much value to the Hoyas.

He is a good athlete, not a great athlete. He's got a little bit of a quirky/jerky rhythm to his game that is hard to guard. In some ways, he reminds me of the guy from Butler -- Roosevelt Jones? -- with a little more height/length.

big roosevelt jones fan. kid is a tough player who does a bit of everything. Would be very happy if kaleb ended up being as good as jones. Although unlike jones, I hope he can hit free throws at a more consistent rate

Kaleb Johnson (front, center) signed his national letter of intent on Friday morning at Carlisle School to play for the Georgetown men’s basketball team. Johnson, a two-year standout for the Chiefs, topped 1,000 points in a Carlisle uniform in his final season and was a key contributor to Carlisle’s VISAA Div. II state championship team in 2013. Johnson averaged a double-double in his senior season at 23.3 points per game, shooting 55% from 3-point range and 68% from inside the arc He grabbed 12.1 rebounds per game and averaged a pair of assists per game. Congrats to the kid, his family and JT3 and the coaching staff!! Great numbers! 55% from 3 translates to what at GU?

In all seriousness i wonder if it translates to JT3 seeing him as a legitimate option at SG. He would have great size at the position, appears to have a very good handle, and is comfortable creating for others. I dont know how is foot speed is for defensive purposes but if JT3 and staff have seemed to turn their focus to 2016 recruits and transfers i just wonder if he feels johnson and peak can be the answer at the 2 when DSR is either running the point or on the bench.
