5 days between offer and committment, young fella obviously wanted to be a Hoya. Welcome aboard Kaleb.

Welcome, Kaleb! Do we think he ends up at SG at Georgetown or is the handle/defense not there yet? I think his floor is AB's game now but I don't have a player in JT3's era that fits what his ceiling could be..

What's his high school competition like? Similar to LJ's or better?

If he is intelligent, he sees opportunity. That will be the new recruiting slogan. . ."Georgetown--Land of Opportunity." Well, he saw the opportunity last night, and he's going for it. That's the one good thing to come out of the Xavier debacle.

Kid just wanted to go to Georgetown. The visit was just an opportunity to commit to the staff in person.
We could've rolled Xavier by 40 with LJ, PW and Ike leading us with career-highs in points and he would've still committed.

Love it...really like the class of 2015 as a follow-up to the class of 2014. 8 contributors with most expected to be around for 3-4 years. Great job staff!

Very good sign, given the way we played last night. I still would like a PG & Big but I assume Agau will be counted as the big man addition

I just watched a decent amount of the Carlisle - La Lumiere game (to see decent competition), and here's what I saw (granted, from one game sample set):
- Kaleb seems to be the MVP of the team, and plays a point forward role that includes bringing the ball up many times - He's a fairly good slasher, who likes to do a spin move toward the basket - He's a good not great finisher, and this is without any big post defender. Will definitely have to gain strength to get better here - I like his ballhandling ability and he seemed like a fairly good passer - Kaleb did make some outside shots, but seems much more comfortable driving to the hoop
Again, I'm saying this from watching one game, but I thought there's definitely potential here to contribute in spot minutes as a freshman, and more significantly thereafter.

insider.espn.go.com/blog/ncbrecruitingon-the-trail/post/_/id/12790/scouts-take-espn-100-sf-kaleb-johnson-picks-georgetownWhat he brings: Johnson brings great size and versatility to the wing position. He is a matchup nightmare for smaller wing players. He is a finisher on the break and knocks down mid-range pull-ups, runners and floaters with excellent touch and body control.
He can handle the ball and not only make plays for himself, but can set the table and deliver the ball to open teammates as he attacks the defense and creates help situations with his ability to facilitate. Johnson will also be an asset on defense because he can be depended upon to guard multiple positions. Rankin says he reminds him of a young Lamar Odom because of his versatility, Sounds good to me..

For those who have seen him...am I correct that he is somewhat like LJ in that he is an athletic slasher with a good handle? (Understand he is not as highly rated a recruit at this point in his career)
