His across the lane hook shot early in the first half was a thing of beauty. I'd be happy with one of those a game along with some putbacks. It was a thing of lucky... more like a line-drive hook...

No sense in dumping on Hopkins. We know who he is. And he is a vital piece to the puzzle. My one hope is that JTIII can limit his usage on offense. Hopkins does tend to try to "make things happen" when he touches the ball, when sometimes a kick-out or simple pass to a superior offensive player would be the better decision. Agree 100% I agree with this too and well put Ranch.

He made a nice cross court pass to Peak for a 3 as well from the post.

It was a thing of lucky... more like a line-drive hook... Hater. It was unstoppable. Caused Donny Marshall to compare it to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Never thought I'd hear that comparison to Hop.

Can someone tell me if Hopkins at one time wore glasses and now wears contacts? My memory is not as good as it used to be, but I seem to remember seeing a picture of him wearing glasses off the court. I bring this up because it is mind boggling how many easy put backs he misses. As I watched him miss a wide open two-handed uncontested dunk again last week, I again wondered if he has a distance perception problem with his vision. The easy put backs that go from one side of the rim to the other without going through the net are just too many to be explained by over exuberance.. I am convinced he does have small hands which contributes to his lost of control a lot of times when he goes up for a shot, but the constant stripping of the ball from him may be due to an inability to perceive how close the defensive guy is to him. The guy works hard and the frustration shows when he misses an easy bunny or gets stripped by a smaller player. The rap on him coming out of high school was that he disappeared a lot during the game, so we on the board were told that his motivation was lacking. I have not seen that since he has been at Georgetown, he works hard, but for some reason he can't maximize the raw talent that he has.

Two thoughts:
1. Almost reminded me of the "Happy Hands Club" from Napolean Dynamite.
2. Fewer reasons now to complain about Hop's footwork.

2. Fewer reasons now to complain about Hop's footwork. Hey, if dance can help Roy, why not give it a whirl?

Quietly, Hop hasn't used over 20% of possessions in 5 straight games.
The result: 4-1 with 4 of the 5 most efficient offensive games of the season. Great job Hop for learning his role and kudos to JTIII.

Horrific attitude today. Watch sequence at around 15:00 mark of second when DSR misses on a somewhat wild drive - his shoulders sag and he walks down court. I'm sorry, but when you bring that little to the table on the offensive end, you better play like a madman relative to motor. Guy quit on his teammates today.

Excuse me, but did you watch the same game we did? Hop and DSR were the only two Hoyas that showed up and played hard. Hopkins definitely did not quit on his teammates, and I am frankly amazed by your post.

Dude, you must have been watching a totally different game. Hop was the only other guy not named DSR who played with any effort at all. I thought he was one small bright spot and if he had these sorts of games going forward for the rest of the year I'd be pretty happy.
