Creighton down a few points but they are giving Oklahoma a good contest. If Creighton can somehow pull this out, it would be great for the Big East.

Creighton 65, #18 Oklahoma 63. Final.
Creighton was ready for almost every kick out pass Oklahoma threw after driving the lane down the stretch. Turnover after turnover for the Sooners. Nice win for the conference. Very impressive coaching job by McDermott, especially with the 'Jays down by 17. Almost lost it, however, at the foul line.

Great win for the Big East. Not only does it get the conference positive attention, but if Creighton turns out to be a real contender in the conference, that's awesome.

Way to go Creighton! They've got some decent looking bigs and Chatman will be one of the best players in the conference this season.

Good for Creighton, but I don't think it really matters. Hell, the ACC is considered a power 5 conference, even though when the powers that be made that decision their conference stunk!

Oklahoma's a very good team this year, most people believe they'll be a title contender in the Big 12. Great win for a Creighton team thought to be mid-tier in the Big East.

That W is going to look better at the end of the year. Oklahoma has top 10 type potential once they gel..

Sorry, 757, but I have to disagree. Every win by a Big East member against a "ranked" team matters. Every win by any conference's members against a "ranked" team matters. We'll know the new Big East has made it when we're no longer so worried about every opportunity for it to happen. On the real--rebuilding or not, you play a road game in Omaha at your peril. Creighton definitely has taken over the mantle from Miami and USF of the faraway Big East school that's irrationally difficult to play at and has a lot of old people. Though where Miami and USF no doubt did it with sunshine and warm weather, Creighton's secret weapon is...IDK, ethanol? Tasteful blue knit sweaters? McBuckets--is that a legal currency still?

Great win by Creighton.
I couldn't believe they came back. Oklahoma was up 18 in the second half. Then they totally took their foot off the gas and gave the game away. They went away from what was working and expected crieghton to lie down once they got up big.
I was of the opinion that Oklahoma was overrated and this confirms that for me. Yes Creighton is better than we expected but more to me this says: 1) Oklahoma is worse than a lot of people think and I don't think they'll be contending for anything but more importantly 2) the BE is a good as I thought it was. I still don't think Creighton finishes top 4 in the league and yet they're able to beat albeit overrated, but in name top 25 team.

While it's obvious, Creighton's win will also boost their RPI, which will in turn boost ours and the conferences'. Each of these wins over a ranked opponent is really helpful. Now, we need to do our part and beat Florida and Wisconsin at Atlantis.

Charlotte taking it to Penn State on ESPNU right now. They're going to be a tough test. They actually have some size so it will be a good game for us.

Don't know if anyone has taken note ...but the BE only has one loss (Marquette/Ohio St)....by far the least of any conference. Things will change ....but so far so good.

Would be a pretty solid win for Indiana if they can hold on here against SMU.

Would be a pretty solid win for Indiana if they can hold on here against SMU. Strong perimeter for IU with Ferrell, Johnson and especially Blackmon. Not much in the frontcourt, but they look like a top 25 team to me. Crean usually does better in years when people don't expect very much. Blackmon may save his job.
