KC, I actually wasn't pro or anti mono. You might be taking things a little too literally. I was saying that having more guard depth is good because......injury, illness, grades, foul trouble all happen and it is better to have depth at every position. Well you are allowed only 13 scholarship players. So that's two per position. And then you have 3 left over which are usually given to guys who can play multiple positions. That's usually what teams do rather than have an overabundance of guys who can only play one position (center or point guard). Unless you're Nova. Then, yes, guards all around!

If its something serious then they are handling it perfectly. But if it is a cold or flu or stomach virus then just say so. No big deal and no big violation of HIPPA. I forgot. HIPPA has a section on "big violations" and "no big violations." Seriously, why are you so bent out of shape about this? He's sick. Who cares if its mono, strep, The Flu tm or the plague? He's not playing this weekend. He'll be back when he's back. I guess I was flashing back to Austin Freeman. This seems to be playing out the same way

I guess I was flashing back to Austin Freeman. This seems to be playing out the same way Playing out the same way? What does that even mean? It means that Austin was out for several games with an "undisclosed illness". It was at least 2-3 weeks before his diabetes was discovered and announced. i attended the last game Austin played before he was pulled from the lineup and he played as poorly as Tre did against Radford and Maryland in that game. Hope I'm wrong,

I'd don't think the words "Paging Dr. Quigley" have ever been heard over a hospital loud speaker.

Hey, I didn't start this thread or this discussion, I'm just adding my opinion. Granted I'm no doctor but you don't have to be one to understand that when a young, vibrant athlete who was expected to be a major part of his team is suddenly removed for an "undisclosed illness" that the player must be suffering from more than the flu. I hope whatever that illness is can be treated and Tre is back in the lineup soon. As far as the rest of you go, take two aspirin and call me in the morning.

As a human being, I pray Trey has a quick and full recovery from whatever ails him. As a Hoya FAN, I am not overly concerned about his absence,as Kaleb Johnson looks to be a very competent, albeit different kind of point guard. Very impressed how Kaleb and LJ handled the ball against Duke.

I really am concerned for Tre and hope he's OK. Of course part of my desire to know more is selfish in terms of what this means for the team, but I hope that's the smallest part of it by far. He seems like a great kid all around and everything you'd want in a Gtown student. I just hope it's nothing long term or chronic.

He's available to play tomorrow. He's been practicing for nearly a week.

Awesome news. He will add a dimension in the backcourt, not to mention the extra depth and extra shooter.
