No player on the Chiefs roster has benefit more from facing this stiff competition than 2016 transfer Quentin Jackson Jr. Quentin has fully embraced the move to the point guard position and is thriving in his new roll. Last season while playing at Word of God (Raleigh, NC), Quentin was more utilized as a scorer, while spending some time at point. This season it has been some serious On The Job Training while taking over the reigns for Coach Jason Niblett. At the High School OT tournament, Jackson told the media, “The move to Carlisle has offered me a great opportunity to better prepare myself for the next level (college) basketball”. Jackson currently holds more than 15 D1 scholarship offers, including the likes of Tennessee, Kansas State, Depaul, Tulsa, and Harvard. www.thehoopscolumn.com/2015/01/09/carlisle-schools-floor-general-quentin-jackson-jr/

Please recruit this kid.. Are we not recruiting him? I had thought we were. We have not offered at the very least. I agree that he should be recruited but most of the info here is because yaboynyp likes him, no reports of staff seeing him.

This ^ and the fact he said he grew up a Gtown fan…. Hoyas have been mentioned as showing interest Didn't he visit for MM? Yes, he was with his Carlisle team.. It doesn't seem to make a difference to the staff if a kid grows up rooting for the program.. Josh Hart, Terrence Mann, Jared Nickens, Andrew White ect were all reported fans coming up too..

This ^ and the fact he said he grew up a Gtown fan…. Hoyas have been mentioned as showing interest Didn't he visit for MM? Yeah and reportedly had a good time…. We’ve had problems recruiting PG’s kid grew up a fan seems like a no brainer to me but you never know maybe they have other plans in mind. Also with a kid like this, 6’4 pg his offers are only going to get better come Spring and Summer Grass Roots season...

Also with a kid like this, 6’4 pg his offers are only going to get better come Spring and Summer Grass Roots season... I don't think Bracey or LoVett are coming here. We might have a chance with Fultz but his recruitment is going national and it might be another PJ Dozier type situation where he waits and in the end we probably wished we had just picked up Mann or Reaves when we had the chance. I'd be fine with taking Jackson now. He'll come in as a freshman when Tre is a junior-- we'll have some nice class balance at the PG position....

Great size and athleticism, and seems to be getting better as a ballhandler and distributor. We also desperately need a PG for 2016; not sure why we're not pushing hard for him. But then again, who knows what's going on behind the scenes.

martinsvillebulletin.com/article.cfm?ID=45070“Quentin definitely has a different style playing the point guard and he is transitioning into the position this year,” Niblett said. “Eric was more of a pure point guard and understood how to play the position. Quentin is very explosive getting to the basket and very difficult to stay in front of. He just needs to continue to progress ... but he is a heck of a talent.”

Gimme this kid, Kodye Pugh plus a big like Benson, Bennett or Miller and I'm good for 2016..
I love Fultz too and I'm in favor of the staff going all out to get him but everyone & their brothers will be on him as well..
