If you told me we should sign this kid over Trier, Crawford or Dozier I'd say you're nuts. But since we have no chance at those three, it's time to get a player while we can. Speedy and competitive. I can live with those attributes. I agree. And let's face it - the biggest problem most of us have with him is that he's short. I would prefer that he is 6'5 as you said, but we also need to deal with who is available. My biggest concern is avoiding the Caprio situation where we are so thin that we have to give walk-ons extended minutes. If we have DSR, Tre Campbell, and Peak as our guards that's really thin next year - even if Paul White can take some of those minutes. If even one of those guys goes down to injury, suddenly that's a really bad position to be in, and I'd much rather have Hardnett than David Allen getting those minutes (no offense to Allen). So I agree. If Hardnett is on the top of the list, sign him up. There's not necessarily wrong either with getting a guy who doesn't necessarily project to be a star, but a guy who can provide some solid playing time and maybe be even better than we expect.

I haven't seen Hardnett or Robinson for that matter so perhaps they're nice diamonds in the rough, but I just have a bad feeling they're more likely to be the next Vee Sanford. (Who proved to be a nice player in the end but just didn't work out with Gtown.) Anyway, I'm very ready to admit I'm wrong about this but thought I'd at least offer up the thought for some debate..... JT3 said during the practice that there would be two more signings - since there's no one ranked that is left unsigned, these signings more than likely are going to be the next Vee Sanford or Jerelle Benimon more than the next Otto Porter or Greg Whittington. The fact is though we need depth - and even Jerelle and Vee played their freshman years in important situations. Gonna say it again - this recruiting period has been an absolute disaster after Noah. I don't know what needs to change but the program has to be able to seal the deal in the summer or fall.

I wouldn't mind getting another Vee Sanford.

What recruit did you think we should have landed and did not? Personally I think the disaster comment is absurd. A disaster is St Johns situation, 5 seniors and 0 players signed for next season. Having 2 top 100 kids signed is not a disaster and I know you keep saying “after Noah” but still it’s a silly comment. We’ve landed 6 top 100 kids in the last year or so, perspective. I think what needs to change is fans need to understand recruiting isn’t easy...

Amen, YaBoy. It is the Wild West out there, and in light of the circumstances they are dealing with, the coaches are doing an amazing job.

DSR is the biggest to date, right? Until we get a guard to the league, hope for the best, expect the worst. Which reminds me, we should all definitely be calling LJ Peak a guard, for when he goes to the NBA. Say it with me "LJ Peak is a guard, not a SF/wing"

Needs to continue to work on shooting off the catch, coming off screens, his handle, and one or two dribble pull ups….

Not really, but I’l definitely agree he is not as big of a prospect at the 3. Lakers start Nick Young and Kobe at the 2-3. Tyreke Evans starts at the 3 for the Pelicans Shabazz Muhammed, Tyreke, Allonzo Gee and Caron Butler all play SF currently and are close to Peaks Height. The point of my comment is we can say Peaks a Center if we want but the NBA guys will decide what he is and what they want to draft him as. Not us saying he’s this or that.

Am I the only one who sees a bit of D Wade in Peak? Now I just said "a bit"..so no, I am not saying he is an NBA Hall of Famer, quite yet!

Peak moves way better than a 3. How on earth is he a 3? Just because Rivals and all listed him as that doesn't really have any bearing.

Ok but he’s also not going to be considered a 2 just because you or I believe it to be so…It comes down to his play on the floor and what the NBA Scouts believe that translates to. If you go on some of these NBA Draft sites they talk about him developing into a better ball handler and outside shooter in order to be considered a 2 by NBA standard.

ACD was scheduled to play Oldmar Christian this Friday but for whatever reason the game was postponed.
Not too sure what his status was previous to this or if that means Hardnett can make it up this weekend as it was announced less than 24 hrs ago…

Maybe Skal Labissiere caught another cold and now even unrelated teams are canceling their games in solidarity.

Visit was delayed...timing wasn't right. Staff remains interested and will be visiting him sometime in December.
