The lack is self awareness for Le Batard is comical. How about thanking Lebron for the two championships he sent to Miami. Bosh and Wade certainly didn't earn them.
More importantly, what "journalist" for any other organization would think this was in their discretion to do? ESPN is a joke.

This is ridiculously bush league and shows a complete lack of professionalism.

What on earth does that have to do with journalism these days? In addition to his radio and television shows for ESPN, Dan Le Batard is an accomplished sports columnist for the Miami Herald. His employment with the Herald spans 24 years. IMO, the WWL went too far in suspending Le Batard. To quote from the referenced article, Le Batard recently (before the suspension) wrote a column for the Herald in which he praised and thanked LBJ for the four years he spent with the Heat (even though subtly jabbing him while doing so).

File all of this under W for who cares and move along. He should ask Stephen A about the best way to spend one's downtime when suspended from the WWL. Since when does anyone have journalistic standards for ESPN anyway? It's crap. At least the billboard thing is funny whereas SportsCenter, that tries really hard to be funny, is painful to watch. I never thought I'd call the time of Chris Berman on SC the good ol' days.

He is always on the correct side of the fence on sports issues. Plus, I find him entertaining, and I have enjoyed his writing over the years. Besides Olberman and Mr. Tony, it's difficult to think of too many others that I can stomach. I just thought a suspension was too harsh a penalty. Though I understand why people want to work there (they are the WWL ), I'm happy that I don't.

I can offer no opinion on this issue because I assiduously avoid that network unless there is an actual game being broadcast that is unavailable elsewhere.
ESPN has devolved to a network which now values the "E" in its initials above all else.

Back, back, back.....
