Good move. I can't wait to watch all of the fair weather Miami fans abandon "their" team.

That piece is well stated, IMO.

That piece is well stated, IMO. I agree. Can't really say for sure if it genuine. If it is, that's great. Couldn't help but think of one of my favorite Bruce songs at the end there, though (the live version, of course): Here in northeast Ohio, back in eighteen-o-three James and Danny Heaton found the ore that was linin' Yellow Creek They built a blast furnace here along the shore And they made the cannon balls that helped the Union win the war

Ben Standig a bit more cynical:

Spectacular pro wrestling booking here. LeBron turns heel by spurning his downtrodden hometown and going to South Beach with Wade and Bosh. He gets a four year run with most people watching/paying to see him lose. He wins two titles but loses in two other finals. That storyline has run its course. So he turns himself back by going home to save Cleveland's fortunes. They even incorporated a whole bunch of Dusty Rhodes' "doing it for the working man" promos in that letter released today. Now he gets another run where most sports fans are going to root for Cleveland to finally win a title. They'll get years more of storylines out of this. Well booked, Adam Silver. Well booked.

Pretty stupid of Danny Ainge to help create a legitimate title threat for the next four years in the Cavs, instead of letting LeBron waste away on an aging Heat team. In other words, the Celtics are less relevant to the NBA right now than the Timberwolves. Heck of a rivalry they've got going with the Lakers over who can serve as the best dumping ground for salaries that title contenders are trying to get rid of.

Ben Standig a bit more cynical: I'm disappointed in Standig. Only a true cynic would see this that way. And I hadn't pegged him as one.

While this babyface Lebron storyline is great, I can't wait for him to lose a game 7, burn down the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, set the river on fire, and rename himself Hollywood.

Lebron cared not about Cleveland until after he got his titles elsewhere. The cynicism and two-facery does not stop with LBJ however. Mr. Gilbert just brought back a guy he trashed up one side and down the other to sell tickets and chase a trophy. If he was a piece of crap for going to Miami is he not one now that he has returned?

How much do you figure the bidding for the rights to the movie has reached so far?
