www.vantagehoops.com/news_article/show/456717?referrer_id=1102873Sacha Killeya-Jones Improving While the matchup produced no real fireworks, Killeya-Jones got the better of Diakite on this occasion. The versatile 6-foot-10 four man has added some toughness around the rim, and he’s playing with a bit more fire. An extra 15 pounds – now 207 – on his long frame proved beneficial, as well. Killeya-Jones finished some tough plays in traffic, and as usual, his shooting and passing ability made him a dual threat from the short corner and high post. Diakite is still the more impressive athlete and defender, but Killeya-Jones has advantages in half-court skill and understanding at this stage. He finished with a solid 10 points and 10 rebounds. UVA, Georgetown, UNC, and Wake Forest are among those coming hard lately. The ACC seems like the conference to beat. - See more at: www.vantagehoops.com/news_article/show/456717?referrer_id=1102873#sthash.4rjEHgZJ.dpuf

“I’ve been feeding him gunpowder,” Staples said in response to his toughness. “We’ve been getting him tough. I told him prior to the season that, that was one of the knocks on him and that he didn’t play hard enough. He wasn’t a tough kid. He’s flipped that around now and is playing hard.” Killeya-Jones said he lifts five days a week and according to his coach he’s added 15 pounds of muscle to his 6-foot-9, pushing 6-10 frame. The added strength appears to have helped Killeya-Jones’ confidence on the court. He was active and aggressive in the win over Blue Ridge School. Killeya-Jones showed good touch, blocked a couple of shots and ran the floor with a purpose. virginia.scout.com/story/1492460-killeya-jones-adds-to-his-game

georgetown.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1716135As anyone could see by the coaches and media loitering around the school, both guys are high major targets. Killeya-Jones named Virginia, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and Georgetown as the schools that were making him feel like a priority. His coach thinks that he will play in the ACC when it's all said and done.

Is the coach just playing the odds on the fact that 4 of the 5 teams recruiting him are in the ACC, or does the kid actively prefer the ACC?

Staff needs to be all over Javin Delaurier also… SKJ and Diakite get all the hype but Delaurier provides the best production…
I’d take any of the 3...

Sacha Killeya-Jones, 6-10 junior, Va. Episcopal School
Killeya-Jones had his best game of the tournament, but it was in a losing effort as Virginia Episcopal School fell to Liberty Christian Prep 93-83.
He had 21 points and 6 rebounds, but was outplayed by 7-6 Taco Fall, who finished with 44 points and 17 rebounds.

And that's why success is so important. The season that UVA is having and had last year had a direct impact on him.

From Killeya-Jones’ point of view, his summer now will become extremely hectic. College coaches who naturally didn’t watch him in April will want to observe him closely during the July live period. North Carolina and Georgetown are two programs within the region that have needs and would provide an overall fit, while sources say that Kentucky is intrigued as well. www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1551784-notebook-bringing-the-brunk

This kid looks like the real deal. IMO only thing holding him back from being a five star is the lack of elite athleticism like Ike has. Other than that he seems to have it all. Would love to see what a frontcourt of him, Derrickson, and Govan look like. Scary good
