My only reservation is that the kid visited Duke and Gtown and didn't commit but after the UVA visit he pops. That leads me to believe that someone has told him that the bigger boys (blue bloods) are coming. I could be wrong but I'm not getting my hopes up.

College coaches who naturally didn’t watch him in April will want to observe him closely during the July live period. North Carolina and Georgetown are two programs within the region that have needs and would provide an overall fit, while sources say that Kentucky is intrigued as well.

Seems to me he didn't like the fact that Bennett kept chasing/taking kids who play his position.. They took a verbal from Jay Huff and are still considered the leader for Diatke.. If the school is gonna continue to seek other options why shouldn't the player?

He's not coming to Georgetown.

“Missouri, Vanderbilt, Florida, Texas, Miami, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Nebraska, Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgetown, Wake Forest, and Rutgers have contacted me,” Killeya-Jones told HoopSeen.com. Prior to his commitment to the Cavaliers at New Years, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Georgetown were beginning to be highly in the mix for the 6-foot-9 power forward. As expected, they will be firmly in the mix the next time around, too. “I heard from Coach Payne and I am supposed to hear from Coach Calipari tonight (Friday),” he said of the Kentucky interest hoopseen.com/index.php/news/video/itemlist/user/1014-garretttucker

From Rivals: Killeya-Jones fielding offers Ever since making a commitment to Virginia during the winter, 6-foot-9 class of 2016 power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones has seen his stock rise. A few weeks ago, he opened up his recruitment and being back on the market has done anything to slow the momentum he's picked up with his game. A North Carolina native who plays his high school ball at Lynchburg (Va.) Episcopal, Killeya-Jones is a four-star prospect and has outplayed his current ranking of No. 73 in the rising senior class. Killeya-Jones has been in constant motion, crashed the glass, hit jumpers and scored on the interior. He's lean and quick and loving the level of competition at camp. "It's been great," said Killeya-Jones. "It's great competition. It's the best camp there is all summer and I'm glad to be a part of it." According to Killeya-Jones he's still considering Virginia and feels good about his relationship with head coach Tony Bennett. However, he said he just pulled the string on a commitment too early and needs to see what else is out there. Because he lives in Chapel Hill, Killeya-Jones is able to regularly play pickup on the campus of North Carolina and he just picked up an offer from the Tar Heels. Last weekend he was in Lexington to visit with John Calipari and picked up a Kentucky offer while Florida and N.C. State have added offers as well. This time around, Killeya-Jones isn't looking to rush a decision and he'd like to take some more visits before sitting down with his family to evaluate where he stands. "We are probably going to take a couple of more visits this summer," said Killeya-Jones. "I'll talk to my parents about it then I'll sit down with the people in my circle and keep everything tight. They have my best interests in heart. I'll know where I stand but I need to talk to my parents about it and see how things go." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1776178

Nice response by UNC to give the cheater an extension in the face of serious NCAA violations. That would tick me off if I were the NCAA. Even Syracuse didn't do that with Boeheim.

Yes, definitely strange timing. Seems like it could be a middle finger to the NCAA. Regardless, this is what has always bothered me the most about a sport I love....cheaters being rewarded, and an impotent NCAA doing practically nothing about it.

Well given the NCAA history of imposing sanctions on major programs, not named USC or Miami, the leadership of UNC is not risking much by appearing to support one of its "blind" coaches.

Here's the problem - the violations were academic in nature and athletics was a beneficiary, but not the instigant. If you consider an extension for Roy Williams at issue, then why not also for the other two head coaches they extended the same day? You might as well add scorn for Mike Fox (baseball), Sylvia Hatchell (women's BB), Larry Fedora (football) and the 20+ other coaches that had an additive gain by the AFAM program.

Uh, Roy wasn't just a silent beneficiary. He was steering his players to those programs and by most accounts had his hands all in it. I don't think they created an entire fake program for baseball and women's bball.

From Rivals: "Four-star power forward Sacha Killeya-Jones showed off some sky-high potential Wednesday, using his long frame to post 13 points, four rebounds and two blocks. After the game, he flashed an offer list that was 20-plus long. He specifically mentioned Georgetown, Virginia, Kentucky, Florida, N.C. State, North Carolina and Notre Dame off the top of his head." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1781453
