I'd be stunned if he doesn't go to Maryland.

I'd be stunned if he doesn't go to Maryland. But how stable is the Maryland program?

Anthony Cowan/6’0 DC Thunder 2016 Cowan is just a ballplayer. The strong and sturdy lead guard makes quick plays with the basketball on the floor and is capable of getting wherever he wants with it. He plays low to the floor on the attack, makes great passes off the deck, and is capable of going off like a ticking time bomb. The controlling point man can also hit on the deep ball with excellent ball rotation and is at his best in pushing the pace of any given game and running the break before either scoring at the rim and through the contact, or making appropriate dishes to open teammates on the way to the basket. The DC Thunder guard is one of the better lead guards in the east coast in 2016 and will be recruited as such. hoopsintel.sportswar.com/2014/07/28/day-5-vegas-recap/

Cowan was actually at McDonough to watch Tre play. Seems as if they are good friends, which would make sense as I think Cowan was the sixth man at St.Johns while Tre was there

Perhaps, but they had like 5 division 1 players and none of them chose Maryland and at least one of them (Tre) had an offer. Not saying this to dispute the point that St. Johns is Friendly to Maryland, but it's definitely not a situation that we could say compare the recruitment of Ivan Rabb and Arizona and their ties to the Oakland Soldiers, who have had at least 4 of them on their roster over the last couple of years.

Maybe, but he used to play with DC Assault/Premier when they were an Adidas affiliated program, however when DC Premier became UnderArmour affiliated, he went to play with the DC Thunder, which is with Adidas. So, I really don't think he is an UnderArmour only guy.

How does that work if they are not supposed to be receiving compensation from them?

For example, Yaboy recently posted that Thon Maker will probably end up at an Adidas school, which makes sense as both his HS and AAU team are sponsored by Adidas.
