www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-basketball/story/2014-12-15/anthony-cowan-st-johns-collegiate-louisville-georgetown-maryland-creighton-michigan-vcuVisiting Ville on Thurs Despite having a talented cast around him, Cowan's commanded the respect of his team. His natural ability to do so has picked him up offers from the local powers like Georgetown and Maryland. Xavier, DePaul, Miami, Florida State, George Washington and Penn State have all extended offers as well. Georgia Tech, Illinois, Michigan, VCU, Creighton and, of course, Louisville, have all been keeping in contact with the talented lead guard. “I’m hoping to take some more unofficials soon too. I’m not sure where yet though, my recruitment is still really open," he told Sporting News. "I’m not really trying to single out one school or a type of school.

National Hoops Festivial Top Performers Anthony Cowan (Olney,MD) St John’s College High School- 2016 An explosive and quick point guard who is clever with the ball in his hands. This scoring point guard can take it all the way to the rim and score or make the pass from his penetration to an open teammate. He is in control of the game when the ball is in his hands. Cowan was huge in the second half for St. John’s as they trailed Largo by three with 10 seconds left in the game. Cowan pushed the ball through traffic pulling up to hit a buzzer beater. In the extra period Cowan took over penetrating the defense finishing at the rim and finding his teammates for the easy baskets to help St. Johns pull out the overtime victory. ontheradarhoops.com/otrhoopsreport-high-school-hoops-festivial-dec-15-2014/

I noticed on the Kenpom recruiting analysis that he is ranked over 100.....yet he was in for a visit at Louisville and we are tracking him closely. Looks like an inefficient market to me.

That analysis doesn't rank the players. The rankings come from either Rivals or 247 (one of those two, can't remember).

The 2016 class should be the first class where we truly see the effects of our new facility. Recruits in that class will get the full benefit their entire time on campus. Let's hope Cowan finds that appealing and signs on. We're further behind for 2016 than we were for 2015 (when we already had Derrickson).

that looks like an active work site--see the pickup trucks and those cranes don't normally sit around at inactive sites for long), which is really all you can ask for. I suspect most of the construction is scheduled for the summer.

Although I think we need to start winning (especially in the NCAAs) or the best facilities in the world won't help...

I really don't understand what the implication here is? We know that there was some delay due to redesign work necessitated by a change in EPA stormwater provisions. Beyond that... what, exactly, were you hoping to see at this stage? As I mentioned elsewhere, initial site work and utility relocation and all those other inescapable activities don't exactly make for compelling visuals.

Don't get bent out of shape. DFW is the lovable Eeyore of this site. Also the proprietor of this fine establishment... anyway, it's not like he's always down on everything. Eeyore wouldn't have written the Georgetown Basketball Vault, nawmeen? Which is why it's doubly weird for him to treat the TAC as if it is somehow equivalent to, or in danger of becoming, the MSF.
