VCU has a lot of talent on that roster I would take about 6 kids of that team if you include their 2015 signees...

Yeah would love for us to make runs at Kenny Williams and Tevin Mack.

Let's see how this plays out. He may see some immediate playing time and bolt if VCU lets him go.

This is someone we should go after immediately. I doubt he is going to stay locked into VCU.

Yeah really hope we can swoop in if he decides to reopen If there are no tampering rules in the NCAA, I hope we have already contacted him and let him know what is available.

Yeah would love for us to make runs at Kenny Williams and Tevin Mack. Didn't they sign LOIs? I would expect Mack to end up at USC.

If he decommits, I hope we push hard for him. Watching him on TV and videos last summer, I remember thinking he'd be a perfect guard for JTIII. Good, but not great athlete. Always seemed under control, didn't force shots, nice looking stroke, and appeared to have a good basketball IQ. I think he's probably a better fit than some of the 5th year seniors I've been seeing.

Plus he can play either guard slot.

Do we have a shot if he is granted a release? Will be interesting to see if a kid who committed to a school with a system named "havoc" could be swayed by what we run.

We were involved early and there was mutual interest. Who knows how things have changed since he signed with VCU though? Obviously we have a lot of playing time available now. Expect UNC to get back involved if he is released, I believe they have an open scholarship and were hot on Kenny before. I hope if he is released we give this one our best shot.

It seems that our staff doesn't burn bridges either the way some do (using Agau as my proof). An AAU coach friend said when his player told Cronin at Cincy he was going to another school, Cronin unleashed on the kid. Sounds about right and is terribly unprofessional but with how kids transfer and coaches move nowadays, it seems like you always want to keep in touch.

Hopefully playing close to home means a lot to him, but I could see a lot of Shaka's recruits going with him. They weren't going to VCU to play for some storied program, they were going to play for Shaka.

Hopefully that makes Gtown even more appealing.
