www.prephoopsmaryland.com/news_article/show/486155?referrer_id=1501396My style of play is just being versatile on the court and not being limited to do just one thing,” said Pugh. “I pride myself in being able to do more than one thing; being able to get up shots on the wing, being able to handle the ball and get to the basket, and also being able to play defense, block shots and get rebounds and just be a dominant force on the offensive and defensive end.
One of the biggest things I need to work on this offseason is getting stronger, so I can bump with bigger guys, that’s especially going to help me this summer,” said Pugh. “And I’m always working on my skillset, my guard skills, ball-handling, quickness, speed, being able to get my shot off.”He’s taken unofficials to most of the above schools and says Northwestern, Georgetown, Temple and Virginia Tech stood out to him.

I'd say his skillset is well-suited for Gtown, and he seems to realize Gtown is an excellent fit for him. Add in the mediocre competition for him at this point and I'd say we have a great shot with him.

I think the mediocre competition part is likely to change/is in the process of changing. Would be great to lock him up sooner than later if at all possible.

Quote from a glassy-eyed Pugh: "Must......attend.......Virginia.....Tech.........Must....attend.......Virginia....Tech."

Kodye Pugh, 2016 SF, We R1: The Prep Insiders staff has been high on Pugh for awhile now, and it’s easy to see why. He has good size and it is clear that he isn’t close to being done with his development. With incredibly long arms and a solid motor, Pugh is already a good defender, and his offensive game is coming around. He may never develop into a go-to scorer, but he does enough of the other things to warrant a bump in the rankings. We R1 will have just as much talent as any program in the country this year, so it will be interesting to see what role he ultimately takes on for them. www.theprepinsiders.com/insiders100-scoop-5-stock-risers-heading-into-spring/

Hailing from the tri-state area, Blair basketball is a great program. Blair is a boarding prep school in upstate Jersey. They play out in the MAPL league, and play Benedicts as well as other power houses in the area. They have alums of Royal Ivey, Charlie Villanueva, Luol Deng. Recently they have sent two studs to Virginia in Mike Tobey (Center) who will be drafted, and Marial Shayok (who originally committed to Marquette than Buzz bolted). Last year they had Elijah Burns who will be a freshmen at Notre Dame next year. I think Pugh will do well, and will look to come to a great academic school. JTIII and staff should definitely keep an eye out for him, especially now that he his '17.
