Happy to provide the reports - I know how much I always valued any tidbit of Kenner league info when i could not attend the games. Plus writing this stuff up allows me to indulge my frustrated sportswriter ambitions. And a much appreciated callout for Sportsquiz - a great triumph shared with Elvado back in our college days! Thanks for the updates. (We owe you one.) Let's not let DFW's irony escape us----We Owe You One was the subsequent name of the inaugural SportsQuiz runners-up to Vado/vv83/Swannie. They won the 2nd SQ Championship in 84 in front of an SRO crowd at Copley Formal and a rather inebriated Ken Beatrice as host. Ah, the halcyon days of SQ!!!!!!!

Those were grand times. If my ever fading memory serves, Beatrice was replaced halfway through by none other than Tom.

Yes, I had to take over for Ken for the final "lightning round" because he was so blitzed that he could only slur out a couple of questions during what was designed to be a very fast-paced 60 seconds of trivia magic. Good times!

Hayes Kenner League chip game via @hoyas247
DCX trails 31-25 with 6:15 left in the half. Hayes turning it on a bit as is has 5 points, 6 rebounds and a blocked shot.
@hoyas247
Half: Oohhs& Aahhs leads 47-39. Marcus Thornton has been especially impressive for them. I have Bradley Hayes with 8 PTS, 7 REB and 1 BLK.
@hoyas247
Timeout on the floor with 9:56 to go, Oohhs and Aahhs leads 74-58. Bradley Hayes with another double double today with 14 PTS and 10 REB.
@hoyas247
Bradley Hayes blocks a shot and then gets in the other players face. Refs eject Hayes from the game with 2:36 to play with 16 PTS & 11 REB. LOL YEAH HAYES YEAH HAYES!!! HOYA SAXA!!!

If Hayes was talking junk it wouldn't surprise me if it was because he got sick of the trash talk from guys on Ooohhs and Aahhs. Good for him if that was the case. Like the fire.

Don't anyone get too excited. Hayes played worse than his stat line would suggest. And he got ejected for jawing at a guy who didn't seem to have said or done much to offend.

Getting kicked out of a championship game with 2:36 left is nothing to praise.

Getting kicked out of a championship game with 2:36 left is nothing to praise. It's become a Georgetown tradition apparently: Aaron Bowen and Greg Whittington were ejected from the champ game three summers ago for jawing with each other. The eye-test told me Greg was one of the better one-on-one talkers we've had in GU history.

As much of the "what's the eventual starting lineup this year?" discussion as possible excised from this thread and transplanted into this new thread: hoyatalk2.proboards.com/post/596664
