As one who plans a weekend visit to Kenner from out of town, I wonder when schedules and rosters might be available.

To preempt things, the answer to any question about the Kenner League will be one of the following:
Maybe Depends Don't eat the hot dogs

Good luck. I'm sure it will work out. I predict the Tombs are going to win it.

Schedules will be posted whenever the first day is and will not be accurate at any time that day or thereafter.
Rosters? Ha. Right. Most of the GU players/alums will be on Tombs and Clydes. That's about the only certainty.

Another Kenner question, albeit wishful thinking: does someone get the prodigal son of the Kenner League to make a 20th anniversary appearance? Yes, he turned 39 last week, but he's still got some skills and the place would go wild.

Don't you guys get tired of making the same jokes every year? They're not getting any funnier.

Thank you all for the replies. I never the eat the dogs. I walk through campus and hit the Tombs after watching. I have been lucky I guess Schedule-wise when I have attended. The games while never on-time have gone off in the intended order. I usually attend a July weekend and everyone I have wished to see is still around and playing with sometimes a surprise guest eg Jeff Green.
As there is no on-campus basketball (and never will be?), my physical connection to the campus derives from these midsummer visits.

Next up is the program in a Google Doc to get rolling.
I saw Rodney Turner recently, who said he will be back coaching a team in Kenner, not sure if he involved running it again. A Team Turner and Team Takeover will have some current and past Hoyas on them as well as Tombs and Clydes.

There is a workable plan out there for on-campus basketball. Maybe a mid-summer thread. "Workable" as in the laws of physics don't rule it out or ... ? I think something involving a renovation of McDonough (more possible once the IAC opens) which would expand capacity back towards what it was in the past might be part of the ideal solution. Such a plan was discussed in the early 2000s, and I've read here it would not have required any approvals from the various boards that reject all building except dorms. I think a venue like that, which would allow smaller games do be played on campus with major games at the Verizon Center would be ideal. The best scenario would be a 8-9 thousand capacity facility like the RAC but that will likely never happen.

I know at one point this was the long-term plan. I imagine it still is. The university needs a place where the entire student body can gather. I imagine something in the 7-8 k range would be realistic. After the IAC is finished, this should become the focus--long-term but nothing about that is unrealistic. It just takes time, planning, and eventually serious fundraising.
