The EYBL Circuit @d1circuit 3h UNLV started recruiting Cheatham (@h22_Cheatham) a few weeks ago, leading to the offer today. 6-foot-5 combo guard has offers from all over.

At first glance he doesn't look overly athletic or quick, but his defenders seem mired in quicksand as he easily goes around them.

Sorting hat? Slytherin or Gryffindor? Sorting Hat: Hmm, difficult. VERY difficult. Plenty of courage, I see. Not a bad mind, either. There's talent, oh yes. And a thirst to prove yourself. But where to put you? Haanif: Not Syracuse. Not Syracuse. Sorting Hat: Not Syracuse, eh? Are you sure? You could be great, you know. It's all here in your head. And Syracuse will help you with joke classes and turn a blind eye, there's no doubt about that. No? Haanif: Please, please. Anything but Syracuse, anything but Syracuse. Sorting Hat: Well if you're sure, better be... GEORGETOWN!

Looks like a bit of a project to me. Why do you think that Grahms? Well, mainly because--and you can see this in the video--he doesn't come across as versatile. He has one move--cutting to the basket, using a kind of drop step to get free. I saw that move over and over. I didn't see a whole lot of defense and I did not see him following up with any offensive rebounding. Now, it could just be the clip that was shown, but that's all we have to go on.

Those are unarguably good numbers to put up. Maybe he is a good one.

To me he just doesn't seem like an impact high-major player, but that's just my opinion. I'll take a hard pass but gladly be proven wrong.

hoopniks.com/top-75-guard-haanif-cheatham-considers-six/Cheatham has been particularly dynamic in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League this spring and summer, in running with Nike Team Florida. Cheatham is averaging 16.9 points per game on 34 percent shooting from 3-point land. He has also grabbed 3.4 rebounds per game.
An athletic, left-handed guard, Cheatham reportedly averaged 26 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists as a junior. Unsurprisingly, he was a first team All-State pick as a junior and is considered one of the top players in his class in the Sunshine State.
