I guess we can add Jason Capel and Appalachian State to this list. Capel's four-year contract at AppState came to an end last weekend with a record of 52-70, and the Mountaineers advised him that they would not be offering a new contract. The two prior coaches were over .500, but were forced out/resigned.

More news: Auburn has hired Bruce Pearl, formerly at Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Tennessee, as its new head coach. No contract terms available or reported.

Donohue did a great job at Cornell. He was too anxious for a major conference job, I would not recommend BC to anyone with any career ambitions, it is just a quick money grab because they will continue to play on the first day of the ACC tourney for many years to come.

In the to be continued category: Tom Crean, Travis Ford, Willard at SHU, Purnell.
I think they are talking about extending Lavin at St. John's.

NESN reporting BenedictArnold College looking to steal Amaker away from Harvard. Well, if that's true, we can expect Tommy to abandon his team in the airport like he did with Seton Hall.

REVISED AS OF 1:05 PM EDT 3/27/2014; former Big East coaches are listed in bold, newly updated information is in italics: Two quick edits: Pat Knight was 29-62 at Lamar. James Dickey (not Hickey) was coach at Houston. Strange stat: since 1992, Houston has just one NCAA tournament appearance. Much like DePaul, there is no good reason why UofH shouldn't be a consistent NCAA team with the talent in their region.

It is time that Coach K retires, his run is over. If he can't go deep in the tourney with a roster packed with hamburgers, it's time to play grand father to his grand children.
