Problem of Dog, if you're okay with the overall performance of Georgetown athletics, that's fine, you're opinion. I beg to differ.
But my focus is on football, that's were I have put my energy, and financial support.
Is it the overall performance of Georgetown athletics or the commitment of the university to athletics? Because the latter is what you complained about. Then DFW demonstrated how you were just very poorly informed.

Problem of Dog, this conversation is a waste of time.
You still refuse to answer my question with respect to the football program. Where do you stand? Still dancing.

I already answered it in this thread. Beyond that, I've been on this board much longer than you and have commented on it a thousand times. Why don't you just admit you were totally off base about Georgetown's commitment to the athletic department and move on?

Problem of Dog, so, the amount of time you are on the board, and the number of posts determines who is right and wrong.
Over a thousand posts, get a life.
Got it, okay then, based upon your tenure and number of posts, you're right. Congratulations!!!!
Keep dancing. My last dance with your nonsense.

You must be a parent or relative, because you clearly didn't graduate from Georgetown. If you did, I'm very sad that our school produces graduates who can't follow a basic argument. My tenure doesn't make me more right or wrong, it was simply a response to your asking where I stand. With that said, there's also a strong correlation between people who have no idea what they're talking about in this thread and people who have very few posts.

I mean, the IAC is a pretty significant example of financial and institutional commitment, no?

I mean, the IAC is a pretty significant example of financial and institutional commitment, no? It's useless, Russky. He's totally disavowed that statement, or at least refuses to acknowledge it.

I mean, even from just a football perspective: new weight room and sports medicine facility at your disposal, plus removing 6 teams from McDonough will presumably allow the football team to have some more dedicated room there (locker room and otherwise) to themselves. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that once the House That Pops Built is online, the days of the football team dressing in freaking McShain Lounge will be over.

There's plenty of commitment at the highest levels of the University. It may not be at the visibility or velocity you would like, but it is most assuredly there. Indeed. In fact, The Hoya seems to think the University is prioritizing athletics TOO highly. Just to show you the kind of environment in which Healy 2 has to make decisions: The decision to devote significant campus space and capital campaign funding to a facility exclusively for the use of athletics when so many other needs abound, however, reveals the university’s priorities, and in this case, athletics won out.
It was especially off-putting to find that implementers of the 2010 Campus Plan agreement, which requires housing an additional 385 students on campus by fall 2015, would seriously consider housing students off campus in a satellite residence before they would float the option of using the space designated for the IAC to add beds to campus. The space next to McDonough would not be ideal for student housing, and the Northeast Triangle on the other side of campus is making strides toward meeting Georgetown’s housing requirement, but putting the IAC over on-campus life again shows the administration’s priorities.
The option of a satellite residence upset students enough to prompt an entire campaign against it. In circumstances that tense, one would hope that the university would evaluate all its options and that the many would come before the few. The fact that the IAC remained off the table shows that, at least in this instance, that was not the case.
