Wow B&G... you ever hear of skiing? Truckee is a skier's paradise. And in the summer there are tons of water sports on Tahoe, hundreds of miles of hiking/biking, nearby casinos, etc. Back on track... I'm predicting 20 min/game for Hayes in Nov & Dec then 15 in Jan and dropping to 12 or so in Feb, Mar & Apr. I'm thinking Govan gets better as the year goes on and Mourning also finds a niche late in the season.

Heck Paul didn't even average that much last season (Issac was right at 20). Even early in the season I think 20 mpg is optimistic.

I don't think it is unreasonable to think that Govan and Hayes split the minutes pretty much in half at the start of the season. When you think about it, Hayes is a known commodity... heck he's been on the team for 3 years. Coach knows what he's going to get and should know how to use him. When he was in last season (admittedly small sample size) he seemed to be more willing to look for cutters and backdoor passes than either Hopkins or Smith was, so it seems he knows the offense. Point is I think he will be used to ease Govan in for the first couple of months and so he'll initially be getting more minutes than he otherwise might. Once Govan gets his legs under him and the BE season heats up, Govan should be getting the lion's share of minutes.

Smaller lineups will probably bring that number closer to 30, especially before Agau comes back and JT3 really knows what he's got in the frontcourt (meaning everybody, not just center).

Once Govan gets his legs under him and the BE season heats up, Govan should be getting the lion's share of minutes. I think he gets 12-15 max. The thumb injury is going to put him back which is a shame and then Akoy comes in in January. So the best time to establish himself is during OCC but it's dependent on the thumb rehab. Other than production what is going to limit his minutes is his foul rate. His career foul rate is 9.6 per 40 minutes. Last year it was 6.4 per 40. (Just for comparison Hopkins had a 6.1 per 40 career foul rate, Moses 8.2 per 40. Nate Lubick 4.5 but 5.0 his senior year, Joshua Smith 6.6 per 40) So I can't see him getting an even split with Govan (20/20) unless Govan also has a horrendous fouling problem (in which case we are in big trouble).

Also I think Trey will be able to play center defensively as long as the opposing center isn't monstrously tall or huge.

We have options at the 5! Derrickson, maybe not so much as the others, but for sure we have Trey, Agau, Govan and Hayes.

Huge opportunity for Bradley here and, possibly, his last one. By most accounts, Govan is ahead of him on the depth charts but, not even taking into consideration that they're quite different players, nearly every freshman has growing pains and hits a wall. Bradley should have adequate chances to show what he can do and add to this team and could set the trajectory for the rest of his Hoya career. Here's to hoping that he makes a strong one such that our Hoyas have multiple weapons and matchups that we can throw at opponents. Since it's a thumb, his conditioning shouldn't really be lacking which is good news. Here's to hoping that Bradley heals quickly and completely and is ready to roll when he's cleared to play.

Ten minutes or so, a few boards, and as many fouls as we need is what I want out of Mr. Hayes. Anything else is a plus.

Once again, I challenge any former English major to diagram Lic's last post. The scariest part is that I understand all of it!

When is This board going to offer a webiar on Licalese. I'm quite certain it will be highly attended. I thought FF could run it but i'm not so sure anymore.
