There's a whole passel of redshirts in Lower Canada Community College's Open Gym right about now...

Henry Sims was so good his senior year that he wasn't coming back for a fifth year whether he had a fifth year of eligibility or not. Trying to nail someone down on whether that was a mistake is insane - it's entirely a moot point. Which is weirder: Hoyatalk's fetish with the third string player not getting minutes du jour, or Hoyatalk's fetish with redshirts? I can't decide. Why stop there? TO's and JT3 not being "fiery" enough are equally strange.

BTW True story, my latin teacher in high school (Jesuit priest) bet on a horse that dropped dead in the middle of the race. We called him Mortuus Equus (behind his back, of course). Literally, the funniest Latin-related story I've ever heard. And my HS Latin teacher thought she was funny. She was not remotely funny in Latin or in English. It must be the offseason because we are telling Latin class jokes. My Latin teachers were the only laymen I had in HS. I always liked the story about the Roman senator, who stood up everyday in their senate and cried out "Cartago delenda est." I use that line whenever I meet a person from Carthage.

I don't agree with this at all TC, Henry played well his Sr. Year but he wasn't even drafted off the performance. Why wouldn't he have stayed to improve upon it? With international contracts and the D-League "he wasn't even drafted" isn't really an argument anymore. The same year - 2012 - his teammate Hollis Thompson didn't stay even though he could have and he wasn't drafted. Henry had the better season and was the better pro prospect. Why in the world would Henry have stayed? This red shirt obsession is ridiculous.

Why in the world would Henry have stayed? This red shirt obsession is ridiculous. Hollis flirted with leaving in 2011 so it was basically a lock he was leaving in 2012.. 2011-12 was Henry's 1st solid year, hard for me to believe he would have left for a possible international contract.. It's interesting you chose to leave out the part of my original post where I agree with you that Henry was not a red shirt candidate at any point in his time @ G'town so you can take a shot at an "obsession" that doesn't exist.. smh..

Query: How many third-string centers, having competed their junior seasons, have 43 page threads written about them in any college basketball forum anywhere else?
Take a bow, HoyaTalk. That is truly a singular achievement.

Bradley has totaled 30 points in his three years in a Georgetown uniform, so his hoyatalk thread pages to points ratio is an astonishing 43:30.

Bump. Two weeks without a posting in this thread? What is becoming of us? Distracted by rantings about AI on the staff. I will try to re-focus. B. will get his chance. Hoping he is truly ready, would be a big boost to our depth.

For the record, Bradley Hayes will be 2.13 meters when he takes the court in Italy.
