Please post recruiting updates here. Other Patriot League schools have already received a number of commitments, but scholarships will do that.

Blue seems legit. Should keep at DL and not switch to LB. Why the heck would he pick G-Town over the others listed. Looks like another last minute de-comit.

In looking at last year's roster, there are only 7 OL returning. In looking at the recruit list, there is only 1 OL so far. Both figures do not count TEs. Unless some DL come over from the "Dark Side" that will leave next years team with only 8 OL. That is going to cause a lot of problems.

I agree gtowndad- No one truely cares about wining. Lets recruit 20 QB's People do care, but the Patriot League's academic index forces GU to recruit by SAT ranges, so that the aggregate SAT range of the Georgetown recruiting class must track the school's range overall. This, if GU signs a lineman with a 1260 SAT, they therefore need to land a couple of WR's at 1500+ to make up the difference. In one respect, a portion of the recruiting list each year is driven by SAT's and GPA rather than specific team need. While all Georgetown sports want to recruit among some range of scores, it is not tied to a fixed number. Football is the only sport where numbers are mandated by its conference.

Than that brings up a HUGE safety issue for the players. I want an a true athlete protecting My little Johnny from D1 monsters trying to take his head off. It stinks if it is ALL about SAT scores being a little on the low side(for football). This is notPOP WARNER football.I am starting to re-look the entire football program from a safety aspect.

Generally speaking, Offensive Linemen are toward the top of the academic statistics hierarchy when broken down by position, behind only QBs and Kickers/Punters. So it's not that the OLs are too low-scoring and we have to recruit WRs or QBs instead. It is true, however, that this results in OLs being in relatively higher demand by the other Patriots and the Ivies, and we're on the losing end of most of those recruiting battles.

I have no knowledge of this young man whatsoever. But with such a wonderful football name--especially for a lineman, he cannot possibly miss.
