That was all he said. You need a subscription to read the rest of the comments. Mostly Arizona fans claiming he is theirs.

It's good for GU when Mom is involved.

It's good for GU when Mom is involved. Good? Yes. Decisive? No.

It's good for GU when Mom is involved. Where did the "Mom" is good for G'town theory start? I've followed recruiting pretty closely for awhile now and I don't know what recruit this began with?

Also think the idea is that if the Mom / parents are involved, they are more likely to care about things beyond just getting paid / their sponsors unlike the AAU coaches or random handlers.

The mom element surfaced a lot with Noel Nerlens who flirted with us and then had KU carved into the back of his head. I know if it were me, I would want to make my mom proud. However, in this day and age, even moms can be swayed.

I believe that John Mahnken's mother felt very strongly that young John should attend Georgetown to acquire a solid Jesuit education in the nation's capital. The inducements at NYU and DePaul were more enticing, but Mom's desires carried the day with her dutiful son.

I believe they offered up to $20 a month, brand new fedoras, and the latest in hi-fi technology to their recruits. It was only a matter of time before the NCAA came crashing down on them.

I understand that Phog Allen's mother really wanted him to play for James Naismith.
