One of the youngest players at the event was also one of the best. Jeremy Roach had two impressive games for Paul VI as they went 1-1 at the showcase. Roach was especially big in the loss when he poured in 26 points and showed good floor vision along with his ability to score the ball. Roach is at his best attacking off the dribble, but he also shows that he can hit from deep. He needs to continue to add experience and get more explosive, but there is a lot to like about his future. Recruiting: Virginia Cavaliers, Maryland, West Virginia, Georgetown, and others are already recruiting Roach www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/player/211708-jeremy-roach2020

His day: Jeremy Roach was sensational all day long as the five-star freshman stated his case in being the best point guard in his 2020 class. He has an elite burst that he uses nicely on both ends of the floor, toughness, shot making and passing skills already in-hand, showing just how well-rounded he really is. Quote: “Coach (Tony) Bennett cares; he knows that I am a good player. They offered me first back in the fall.” Prediction: Too early to tell, though it does seem that Virginia has made a great first impression on the five-star guard. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/ayo-dosunmu-dominates-in-day-two-from-the-nike-eybl

Tremendous talent WHAT’S NEXT? Roach will finish out his first full year on the Nike circuit this summer playing with the Team Takeover travel program. Offers from the best programs nationally are due to add up for Roach. RIVALS’ REACTION A college decision is not expected for quite a while but thanks to the early foundation that Virginia has laid down with the talented guard, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Wahoos as one of the favorites for him when a commitment does occur. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/class-of-2020-s-jeremy-roach-quickly-making-his-name-known

What you need to know: Roach is a tough and explosive point guard. He gets to the rim, pushes things in transition and is a good decision maker. He's just as good defensively as he is with the ball in his hand. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/usa-bball-seven-fresh-faces

He's just as good defensively as he is with the ball in his hand. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/usa-bball-seven-fresh-facesSo far, Roach has scored offers from Virgnia and Miami of the ACC. Virginia is pretty close to home and Roach is hoping to make it to campus sometime in the near future for an unofficial visit. "I haven't been to campus yet but they really want me to come down," said Roach of Virginia. "They've talked to my parents a lot about it and I think will get a visit in soon." Humble by nature, Roach is just looking to sit back and see what programs want to get involved. One thing you aren't likely to see him doing is blasting out his accomplishments and honors on social media because he figures his game will speak for itself. "I don't really post my offers and things like that on social media," said Roach. "I mean, it's a big deal to get offers, but I don't need to post things like that on my social media to get extra attention. Somebody else is probably doing it anyway so I don't need to, I'm just not into it like that." basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/usa-bball-two-acc-offers-for-2020-point-guard-jeremy-roach

It was David Onuorah,a graduate transfer from Cornell. His best season was 5 points, 7 rebounds, 1.5 blocks. But I guess we need some big bodies.

Fine with grad transfers that can help transition us to '18 class. They are mature and have played at the college level. All good.
