@adamzagoria: Traci Carter Sets Officials to Xavier, Marquette; Belgian Guard Attends St. John’s Game; Marquette Adds Guard t.co/verqoEJsIuIf Carter is taking officials now that has to mean he's gotten back passing scores from his SAT or ACT tests right? I don't get why the staff isn't involved here.. He's a legit top 100 kid, who plays a position of need..

Michigan and Kansas ST are the latest to chk in on Ricky Council. A couple other guys that are below the radar but maybe shouldn’t be: 1st 6’3 CG Sammy Barnes-Thompkins Wether he’s a PG or SG he’s comfortable with the ball in his hands initiating offense.. Nice build and solid size plays in AZ and AAU with AZ Magic (Not exactly a powerhouse). He started out in NM, then went to Tuscon and finally ended up in Phx for his Junior Season. It’s easy to see how he could be under-recruited considering how none of those areas sans PHX gets any sort of attention from recruiters. Either way on the National stage he surprised many by finishing second at Pangos in scoring. Averaged 16.5 and about 4 assists. The tournament was loaded with top prospects and raised a lot of eyebrows. Kid can really shoot it and would have nice athleticism for a PG. Good handle and change of pace moves as well… Good bloodlines also his pops starred at Iowa ST so he grew up around the game. Staff might want to take a look kid is legit. Sammy finished 12/25fg (6/10 3fg) 10/11ft. also collected 11 rebounds and dished out 3 assists, All in 2nd half. Committed to St. Johns yesterday.. Lavin is loading up on guards in the 2015 class.. zagsblog.com/articles/sammy-barnes-thompkins-to-st-johns/

Would be a nice get for the conference.

Traci Carter has officially announced his commitment to Marquette. Wojo is getting some talent. . .let's see if he can coach it.

It's very interesting that he lost a consensus 4 star guard in Nick Noskowiak a few weeks ago but has replaced him with arguably better talent in not just one but 2 guards(Anim & Carter) in the same class and he did it late in the 2015 recruiting cycle... Go figure..

And it looks like for the foreseeable future, Marquette's going to be pretty good.

Marquette's got enough. I hope Xavier gets him. I would rather the Big East have a dominant Marquette over average Xavier and Marquette. We need teams that can go out of conference and beat the big boys. Did you see the Marquette/Wisconsin game?

I ask this board, "WHO WILL REPLACE MR. JARBIL TRAWICK"? Who has the heart, the soul to fend off all enemies, who is a ride or die kinda guy to go into battle with? Who? ? According to today's LA Times special section on the tournament, we don't need to worry about replacing Trawick. He has three years of eligibility left. I kid not.

Lol, I beat you they were thinking of LJ. Has the staff considered Josh Langford? No, it's funnier than that. It refers to the Hoyas' three freshman starters, Isaac Copeland, L.J. Peak and Jabril Trawick, having to play well for the Hoyas to move on. You can't make this stuff up.

Are there any late bloomers at guard?
We have one scholarship open and on paper we are a little thin at the 1 and 2 (mostly just the 1).

There are some kids left but we have to believe that the staff is done recruiting for 2015, maybe they'll try to get involved with a 5th year kid..

From what B&G said, it sounded like staff was finished with 2015 kids? But I agree, I think a 5th year senior transfer guard could be a nice backup for next year. And then we'd have that scholarship available again for 2016 and then could grab Bracey and Jackson....
