Absolutely! A team full of the second group can almost always compete with a team full of the first group. Of course guys who fit into both groups would be good to have too!

I feel like the Hoyas typically get in the mix for these types of New England recruits, so might be one to keep an eye on.

I'm hoping the coaches are recruiting Dug McDaniel from St. Paul and Jordan Hawkins from Dematha based on what I saw last night. Dug is a soph and he has the ability to be electric. He is small but was taking it right into the chest of some of those Dematha players. I think he will be like Chris Lykes.
Hawkins from Dematha just seemed like a glue guy. Could get buckets around the rim, had a nice looking stroke, is a little thin but will probably get bigger with another year or two. Gotta get some of these local kids in the program.

McDaniel should be the #1 player on the board for 2022. Bring in one or two of the 2021 bigs we are on and get McDaniel locked in for 2022. Does he have a Georgetown offer? I have seen him a few times and I don't care about size, he is a big time point guard.

Interesting interlude recruiting side note: Tommy Lloyd, Gonzaga Head Assistant; known as the top International Recruiter in the game.
Quote of how he has gained his reputation:
""There was never a master plan," Lloyd said. "It was just one day at a time. One phone call, one relationship, one recruit. And then once you start having success, more opportunities present themselves."

I see stuff posted on this thread about this kid on a pretty regular basis. Has Georgetown shown any interest in this player at all? Does he have a relative that is posting stuff to this board about him? Just seems odd.

I was thinking the same thing. Like what I see of his game. How tall is he?

Tochukwu 'Toby' Okani: 6-7 Forward Status: Uncommitted, with offers from Hofstra, Massachusetts, Mount St. Mary's, Minnesota, St. Peter's, Coastal Carolina, Mississippi Valley, Duquesne The small forward has the agility and skill set of a guard. He has great handles and can score from virtually anywhere in the offensive zone. When you add his 6-7 frame into the mix, Okani is extremely tough to slow down.

The good and the bad. I love the game off the dribble but the J looks funny....

Agreed, would be good coming off the bench at the moment. If he can fix that shoot he would be a very nice piece especially in a fast pace offence. I'm at the point that if we can't find a good PF I'd go with another SF with his skill set, speed, bounce and the agility of a guard.

Any evidence that we are recruiting him? Very athletic finisher but can he do that at Div1 level? Shoots from the shoulder which may need some adjustment...offer list not too impressive...
