Rey didn't run as fast as the previous two weekends, but he won by a healthy margin:

I guess you can call this one a de-cruit: On Notre Dame's website it looks like Connor Sheryak transferred there.

Our first recruit for the 2018-19 school year is Alyssa Aldridge. Another New Jerseyite:
Aldridge is defending two straight Meet of Champions titles, and if she can come back for a third she would be just the fourth to do so in state history. Last fall the Mainland senior won the Foot Locker Northeast Regional with a time of 17:40 and finished 13th at Nationals. She has track PRs of 10:27.44 in the 3200 meter and 4:51.43 in the 1600 meter. Her current Holmdel Park best of 17:55 ranks 12th all-time on the course.

Good signing --women definitely need help in distance/XC to return to the elite squad they were just a few years ago.

Even though Alyssa has not raced this XC season, she is ranked #19 nationally by dyestat.com Injury or saving herself for indoor/outdoor? I don't know. It could be that she is so dominant in her league that they are holding her out for the championship races.

I could see that - although you would think she might want to run with her team her last season.

Two more recruits.
Georgetown University received yet another coup in its Class of 2018 recruiting class with the commitment of Katherine Lee on Friday.
Undoubtedly one of the top prospects in New York, Lee, a senior with Shoreham-Wading River (NY), won the NYSPHSAA Class B cross country championships and the NXR New York region a year ago and then proceeded to finish top 10 at NXN. She was one of the top returning cross country talents nationally, owning a PR of 16:45.45.
So far, Lee has opened conservatively in 2017, though is expected to compete for more state and national recognition.
Lee is as accomplished in cross country as she is on the track, where she's a proven indoor runner with PBs of 1:34.26 in the 600m, 4:36.05 in the 1500m and 9:37.77 in the 3000m.
Over the outdoor season, Lee holds PBs of 2:11.33 in the 800m, 4:23.48 in the 1500m and 9:26.78 in the 3000m -- in the latter races, she finished third and second, respectively, in the state.
On the men's side Tristan Forsythe from Pittsburgh will run for the Hoyas. He has a best of 4:12.46 in the 1600m.
