Because that is the NBA website, not the Ukrainian SuperLeague website. I don't think the NBA is reporting what players make overseas. That is probably what the Clippers owed him for 2013-2014 before they released him. Bahahaha...of course ESPN.com is not keeping track of random Ukranian salaries. I have a hard time believing that the Ukranian SuperLeague even has much of an idea of what Summers is making.

It appears that several games have been postponed or cancelled in the Ukrainian SuperLeague because of the political and social volatility. DaJuan Summers' team Budivelnyk Kiev had their league game postponed but played a friendly against another Kiev team yesterday. DaJuan led the team with 17 points so he definitely is still there. Budivelnyk has a EuroCup Round of 16 home game against JSF Nanterre of France scheduled for March 4 and has already announced an agreement to move their home game to Lithuania if necessary. They have two or three Lithuanian players, so I guess they think they might still have a home crowd advantage in Kaunas.

Nice game for Summers today in Paris - efficient 18 points (5/6, 1/2, 5/6) & 6 rebounds in Budivelnik Kiev's 76-71 win over JSF Nanterre to move on to the Quarterfinals of the EuroCup. He scored 16 of his points in the 2nd half - 11 in the 3rd quarter. This was the 2nd leg of a home and home but Budivelnik's home game was played in Lithuania last week because of the uncertainty in Ukraine. Budivelnik won the first game by 4 and then closed it out today. Nanterre's American players include Deshaun Thomas from Ohio State.

DaJuan's team Budivelnik Kiev won the 1st leg of the Eurocup Quarterfinals against Crveda Zverza (Red Star) Belgrade (and Demarcus Nelson). Summers had 13 &10. Yes, 10 rebounds.
This was Kiev's home game but they had to play in Lithuania again to save the Serbian team from having to travel to Ukraine. If DaJuan's guys keep winning there is a good chance they will face one of the two Russian teams still alive. Luke Harangody plays on one of the Russian teams.

DaJuan Summers is still playing basketball in Ukraine. Budivelnyk Kiev won game one of the Ukranian SuperLeague finals today against Khimik at Yuzhne with DaJuan putting up 21 & 14. Budivelnyk finished 2nd in the regular season behind Khimik. They each won two series to face off in the final. It is a best of 5 series. Kiev appears to be a safe place now - overwhelmingly pro-Ukraine with no recent violence - but Yuzhne is down near Odessa, a site of current violence. Budivelnyk had to fly into Odessa and bus to Yuzhne. DaJuan deserves a lot of credit and respect for staying and playing in Ukraine. Many of the Americans in the SuperLeague cut and ran two months ago, but all three Americans on Budivelnyk have stayed (Ricky Minard, Blake Ahearn, DS). Boxscore www.superleague.ua/games/3292.htm#mbt:5-400$t&0=135 ДаХуан Саммерс = DaJuan Summers

Of course I wear Hoya colored glasses, but it still surprises me that Markel and Chris can't get a real crack at the NBA (I know CW had a 10 day contract a couple yrs ago)

I mean, Eric Maynor was Washington's backup for a long while smh

Johnathan Wallace aka Mr. Dagger!
Just came across this video. Not sure if it's been posted before. If it has been, it's worth watching again. One of my favorite Hoyas of all time! Possibly the best pure shooter to ever wear the Blue & Gray!
