I don't really see Dozier as a LVille or UK point guard. I know I'm biased but the kid's game seems perfect for GTown. I could actually see UNC also. I think a recruit like Dozier makes it a lot easier to get a kid like Rabb.

My buddy in North Carolina says they are positive Dozier is going there. Although its just the buzz from the fanbase.

My understanding is Roy was recruiting him as a 2. Dozier wants to be a lead guard which put UNC behind the 8 ball. Now apparently they are telling him what he wants to hear; that he can play the 1 in their offense. So maybe that is why Tar Heel fans feel confident.

Could also be as matersmmich stated....UNC fans cannot imagine anyone picking Gtown over them. Come to think of it....it probably hasn't happened too often in recent years.

It shows how good Dozier is that he could play 1 or 2 at Carolina...fingers still crossed.

Dozier can play the 1 or 2 and be effective. I don't understand why that would be an issue from either party. The days of 1 player being the exclusive ball handler are long gone. Unless Berry is gone Dozier will be sharing the pg duties and unless DSR is gone the same at Gtown. But the difference is at Gtown he starts at pg while I don't think the same can be said at UNC.....

Meyer is tweeting that it is a shoe related issue which would mean that Nike "got into his ear" which led to this outcome. Good chance that Blakeney commits to UK, a Nike school. What a cesspool college bball recruiting is. I would feel sorry for Louisville if that school wasn't just as bad, if it wasn't part of the ACC and if its fans weren't arrogant enough to think that Pitino can just go ahead and grab Dozier now. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for Coach and the staff to try to bring in top kids when faced with so many extraneous factors. Amazing we do as well as we do sometimes. Those guys have been in shock and then denial as player after player supposedly on UNC's wishlist has dropped the Tar Heels and/or chosen other programs. UNC fans assume because of the status of their program that a recruit like Dozier would undoubtedly pick North Carolina. Besides UNC and Louisville fans can't both be right that the kid will end up with them. Nothing to see here.

Not that worried about lville if the Doziers feel as strongly about him playing PG as they have said in the past. Donovan Mitchell thinks he is a pg so one of them is going to be unhappy in the end.

That sounds logical to you and I, but the kids don't always see it that way. Pitino is slick, remember he was able to convince Onuaku to pick them over us even though he already had 3 centers in the same class.

Right, Talos- my concern exactly. You never know. I wish they were out of the equation.

phenomhoopreport.com/phenom-hoops-open-gym-tour-spring-valley-high-school-columbia-sc/The Team Starts With 6’6 PJ Dozier. He had to sit out all of last season as he is coming off a repaired ACL. Dozier is a National Top 30 player who is being recruited by a who’s who of schools across the country. His five visits are set for; South Carolina, Louisville, North Carolina, Michigan, and Georgetown. Dozier is at his best when he is making plays with the ball in his hand. He used his time out to strengthen his body, which has really elevated his aggressiveness toward the basket. Dozier has a high level of court awareness and a lot more explosion than he is given credit for.
