Stone says over and over that he and Malik Newman are a package deal. We aren't getting Newman so take that for what it's worth.

Diamond Stone’s macaroni mishap: The highlight of this trip to the Breakout Classic was a chance to see Diamond Stone, the No. 6 recruit in the Class of 2015, perform, but he only saw a limited amount of action on Wednesday night as he darted back and forth from the bench to the locker room. The problem? He ate too much macaroni and cheese before the game, according to his father. “We’ve make macaroni with real cheese up in Wisconsin,” Stone’s father said with a laugh.  |

Does anybody know what is going on with this kid? I know he never visited Gtown despite JTIII being around early, but why hasn't he committed yet? I've heard unsubstantiated rumors of eligibility issues holding up a Wisconsin commitment.

Both the Badgers and the Terps feel very good about their chances. |

Fourth state championship over this weekend. Not necessarily too hard, however, when you're being defended by a 5' 11'' guy from the sticks. It's absurd that Dominican plays Wisconsin Division 4 ball.
Rumors swirling (still) about both a commitment this week, and a continuing lack of a qualifying ACT score.

Word on the Marquette board (muscoop.com) is that Stone did not qualify academically for admission there.

I've heard from a non-credible source that Wisconsin is trying really hard to get his high school (whitefish bay Dominican) to enlist some sort of IEP (individualized education program) with Stone. Apparently, they believe he has some sort of learning disability and instituting this will give him a better chance to qualify at Wisconsin. Again, not a credible source whatsoever.
