Right I know we had Tennessee last year. I just meant that despite not having a marquee home game this year at least the quality of the cupcake has improved.

Looking at this schedule....ouch. If we can schedule series with Syracuse and Maryland, we can't do it soon enough.

I agree with scheduling Syracuse and Maryland or others. We just aren't going to have games like that in conference anymore. I am glad we landed in a good place in the new Big East with a stable conference and a nice TV contract, but when it comes to conference strength, it's just not the same.

Looks like good schedules all across the league. If everyone takes care of business we should have a good league RPI. Only weak one really is Butler, Provy and Seton Hall need their wins.

Good schedule. Too bad there are not more top-tier home games, but that is not what it is about. The overall schedule will put us in a position to have a successful season. We play a lot of really tough non-conference games; unfortunately, those games are on the road or at neutral locations, but that is the way it worked out.
I hope this team is ready to play; if not, they will have some issues.

And remember what a clash of the titans that game was? I'd rather eat glass than watch that game again. At least against the cupcakes, we should be able to score some points.

Via CasualHoya via a Syracuse source: "There's a 10-year men's basketball contract sitting on Georgetown's desk. SU already signed it."

Not a source. Darryl Gross himself.

Here is the tweet. So this came from the Syracuse AD's radio show. Sounds like they are trying to put some pressure on.
Nate Mink @minknate 1h Also from Daryl Gross radio show: Just said there's a 10-year men's basketball contract sitting on Georgetown's desk. SU already signed it

The Syracuse AD has a radio show? There really IS nothing to do up there in Southern Canada...

And of course we have no clue what the terms of said deal were. For all we know they offered us a 2 for 1 or the 1 home 1 away 1 in MSG deal.

Or he knows Gtown is going to sign it and was just excited about it. It would be kind of odd for a school to send another a 10 year contract without discussing it with them first.

"Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director/Chief Communications Officer for External Affairs Joe Giansante ..."
Gotta love titles in academia.
