Ranked No. 18 in the class of 2016, Canadian Murray easily backed up his lofty status in the rising junior class. A combo guard who can shoot it from deep, attack off the bounce and has a good feel for things it was hard not to see some young Cory Joseph in his game. Murray arrived in St. Louis one of the more polished perimeter players in his class and he did nothing but solidify his reputation as a smooth operator. - See more at: basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1650947#sthash.qNY9uWgQ.dpuf
Jamal Murray/6’3 CIA Bounce 2016
Quite possibly the biggest standout from the perimeter positions in St. Louis, Murray was electric from start to finish. A bigger guard of sorts who is capable of being groomed primarily into the point guard position in the future, Murray was as consistent as you would want out of a prospect at the Top 100. He scored at all three levels on the floor and showcased some athleticism and finishing skills at the rim that I had never seen out of. him before. Playing for the CIA Bounce squad out of Canada, Murray may be the next in line to market his name as ‘the guy’ from north of the border. The rising junior plays with composure and a court feel that is nearly impossible to match when throwing in his size and abilities to play either guard spot with little drop off. Not too focused and engaged with his recruitment, Murray is all about getting his game to the next level and has all the intangibles to make him special one day soon.
