"An all new episode." Why not just a new episode? Are there shows out there that air partially new episodes?

Agree that good donuts are hard to find. Not sure that this is a pet peeve, but I do bemoan the loss of good bakeries. I remember growing up and getting amazing donuts, etc from the bakeries around town. To say nothing of the amazing varieties of cookies, etc. Good bakeries are now very hard to find. I did manage to find a place in NoVA that makes an AMAZING jelly donut that rivals my fondest memories as a kid in NY though -- German Gourmet.

All the other food is good too though

My hometown [that which shall not be named] actually still has a lot of good local bakeries, and it's one thing I look forward to when I visit my parents.

Well as long as we're on the subject of good bakeries, it's pretty damn annoying that I have to drive all the way out to Fairfax, Kentucky, if I want to go to a Wegmans! Come on, Danny Wegman! Are you really going to concede Arlington, Va., and all of its wealth to Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter??

Amen!
Especially when my regular Teeter has been closed for a year because Arlington can't get its act together and the reopening date is still TBD.

PEEVE: People who walk side-by-side on the sidewalk and don't yield to people walking in the opposite direction, or pull the turn-the-shoulder-three-inches-avert-the-eyes-hope-they-don't-notice-I'm-being-a-selfish-jackwagon move. Seriously, how hard is it to go in front of or behind one another in the name of courtesy and right-of-way?
BONUS PEEVE POINTS for making eye contact with me while you're forcing me to walk through a planter, step off the sidewalk, or otherwise distort my walk to let your lazy ass pass.
2XBONUS PEEVE POINTS for actually running into me while I'm walking well within my established right-of-way and didn't feel like letting you get away with being a lazy, selfish jackwagon, and then getting surprised and upset about it. New interns, tourists, convention participants with your little badges around your necks, and girls with three shoulder bags and a yoga mat, I'm looking at you.

I saw something that they are reopening in the near future.

One of my DC coworkers has repeatedly made clear that if you drive all the way out to the Wegman's on the other side of the world instead of simply going to the one in Prince George's you are obviously outing yourself as an irredeemable rrraaaacist.
I don't know which will happen first: groundbreaking on the IAC or the reopening of the poosploded Harris Teeter. I too am disappointed by its absence but I think there's a rather deep-seated psychological barrier that needs to be overcome first.

Women in an office environment skirting (pardon the pun) the dress code until it seemingly doesn't exist anymore
-Black jeans, even if they are tight and plain, are still jeans. -Still wearing your comfortable and casual walking-to-work shoes when you have been in the office for an hour already. -Pretending your sandals are appropriate office footwear because they are slightly fancy.
Come on, your dress code standards (particularly in warm weather) were already a LOT more lax than men's are: can you just stick to those and be a tad professional?

CHANGES TO MY MESSAGE BOARD!!!!!
No, actually, it looks like an improvement. Just have to get used to it. But could someone please explain to me what the hell the "shoutbox" is.
I'm pretty sure we Hoyatalkers don't need any assistance on that front.

I'm pretty sure we Hoyatalkers don't need any assistance on that front. Im going to shout box so much!!! (once I figure out what it is) My only real problem with it is that all the "new post" buttons now revert to the first page of the thread.

The font, spacing, and uniform colors on the old board made it easier to read. That's my only complaint.
