6'3" 170 PG plays for Baltimore Polytechnic High & Team Melo for aau.
Has anyone seen him play?
I only posted this because many folks on the board complain of the program's lack of a "true" PG. Also Espn gives him a 76 rating which is better than Tre Campbell's 73 rating & pretty close to J. Newton's 79 rating..
The young man is a 3.8 student as well..

Thanks to his play with Team Melo this spring, Crosby recently earned an offer from Rutgers – his first scholarship. Georgetown, Indiana, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, South Florida, Stanford, Texas and Washington are among the other high-major programs that have expressed interest in Crosby. While it’s early in the recruiting process, a few schools are standing out.
I found this tidbit also on a UNC site about Crosby..

Crosby is a five star prospect out of Baltimore Elite, City. Crosby plays for Team Melo in the AAU circuit and has made a name for himself as one of the top PGs in the class. And he’s likely just one of the reasons why the Heels have yet to offer Berry. Roy Williams is doing his due diligence as he always does with potential prospects.

Strengths:
Crosby is a pass first point guard who always plays under control and is seemingly never bothered by pressure. He has a fluidity to his game that makes it seem as though he almost glides around the floor. He is a fantastic floor general who can take over a game with his passing ability
Weaknesses:
He is a little too unselfish at times, passing to teammates when he could easily score the ball himsef. Defensively he can get better.
College Projections:
High Major
"John Crosby (Team Melo 2014) – A big, physical point guard at 6’2” Crosby has an amazing feel for the game. He makes great decisions with the ball never panicking under pressure and seemingly always finding the open man. Crosby used smarts and a quick first step to get into the lane repeatedly and once there used a soft floater to score over the top of rotating bigs. Passing is always his first choice though and his drive and kick outs for 3 point attempts were the best offense for Team Melo in their afternoon win."
TEAM MELO’S JOHN CROSBY GAINING INTEREST
Baltimore’s Poly High School is not a traditional hotbed for high major recruits, but make no mistake about it, Class of 2014 guard John Crosby is a sure-fire high major prospect.
“I got Kansas State, Ohio State, North Carolina, Rutgers, Miami, a lot of Big East schools,” said Crosby on his interest from schools. “South Florida offered.”
Back in June Crosby took an unofficial visit to North Carolina and the interest from the Tar Heel program has him only working harder.
“That made me feel good,” said Crosby on hearing from UNC. “I just got to keep working hard, so it can be an offer one day and so I can be able to go to the school. It’s a great school and a great area.”
Poly HS is a great academic high school in Baltimore and Crosby is a tremendous student-athlete. He understands what it takes to play and succeed at the highest level and he will work hard to give himself every opportunity to make it happen.
“I just play hard and do whatever my coach needs me to do,” he said. “I’m a point guard who passes first. I’m a bigger guard so I can get it into the post and post some little guards up. I’m working on my jumper. I want to be able to do a pull up to make the game easier and just get my teammates involved. ”
