I checked out that ESPN Syracuse board and a lot of the comments seem to echo the sentiments below: I am a lifelong 'Cuse fan, and I'm not optimistic about tomorrow. Third game in three days against a team that has kicked our $@% thoroughly, twice. Working on my voodoo doll for Porter right now.... Currently..they do not seem to be too over confident not sure what board you are on haha i am on the cuse gtown board for tomorrow nights game and nobody has made the comment you just quoted.

That quote is from the Pitt vs Syracuse game board a few minutes ago gotcha i was talking about the cuse gtown board. one cuse fan said they will lose. another said they will win by 1. one just said they need to redeem themselves. then the rest have said no way cuse loses a third time haha. like i said i'm not surprised majority of cuse fans are being cocky, it's just the way they are, i just find it funny.

Cuse is the perfect matchup. Our O gets to run freely through there zone without anyone grabbing and holding. This is the 1st year in a long time that we have the more talented team. Which is why we have owned them this year. In the past the games were usually close but we would find a way to give it to them in the end. Now we are just the better team and we have the best player on the floor. We should win this game..............

Don't want to start a thread over this because I'm late, but I just started watching todays game. I've noticed since about ten(ish) games ago, DSR, Jabril, and a few others have gone for the black shoes/socks combo that sticks out. I hated it at first, but we were winning so I was fine with it. Anyone else hate it too? I just don't like how half our team has it and the other half sticks out.
Also it reminds me of Benimon.

I have noticed but haven't given it much thought. The Cincy unis, however, were horrendous.

Presented without comment:
Jay Williams: "I like Syracuse. I know GU is top 10 in scoring defense and they are holding teams to 37.5 percent shooting from the field, but the way that Syracuse is playing right now, and the way that James Southerland is shooting the ball, I think it is going to be hard to stop Syracuse in the Garden."

I just heard the same comment. The way Syracuse is "playing right now?" They have played 2 games since last Saturday, since we crushed them, and one of the games was against terrible competition. We also played extremely well last Saturday AND today. I think some in the media are just conditioned to believe Syracuse is good. Of course, Syracuse could win tomorrow, but the fact that they lost 2 already doesn't make them any more likely to beat us tomorrow.

A one-game three-point winning streak versus ranked teams after losing four straight and beating Seton Hall and DePaul. They are on fire!

Syracuse scored 15 points in the second half with 3 minutes left. They scored 4 points 7 minutes into the second half. It's not like they are playing much differently than they were a week ago. The difference is James Southerland is ridiculously hot from outside and teams have left him wide open for stretches that lasted too long. Even with Southerland playing out of his mind they struggled with Seton Hall and barely escaped a Pitt team with an injured Adams and some benefitial calls. It's not like they are suddenly dominating like people want them to. The problem with Syracuse was never really how badly or well they were playing, it was that there schedule finally got difficult. There are no losses on their schedule that I would say they would be the favorite to win if the teams played again. Sure they weren't shooting well from the perimeter, but they also aren't good perimeter shooters. Southerland is always going to be hot and cold and they get no production from their bigs. They are what they are and, in my opinion, their results accurately reflect how good they are. I don't think there was/is some great collapse or decline in play like the media/espn wants us to believe. Going hand in hand with that, I also don't think has been some great improvement either. They are what they are. That being said I certainly don't expect the pathetic performance they gave just 6 days ago in DC. That was just beyond sad and we better be ready to play tomorrow.

I agree with him actually. If James Southerland shoots 100% from three, then, yes, they will be hard to stop.

The Hoyas are not scrubs..got to them give the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise
