If he pops sooner than later then you've got to like GU's chances. He and Ike plus a guard would make a nice class.

He's a good player no doubt but I'd rather have the staff focus on developing Hayes & Bolden(especially Hayes). Next year(13-14) the team will have Hopkins, Moses, Smith, Hayes & Bolden @ the 5 spot. In 14-15 they'll have Hopkins, Smith, Hayes & Bolden. That's plenty of bigs and if Smith is in halfway decent condition he's gonna get the bulk of the PT the next 2 seasons, he's just that good. I mentioned this before so I'm sorry for repeating myself but I think the staff should redshirt Hayes next year, he won't even be 19 until August of this year. He's very young for his class and he hasn't played much basketball.. RS him for the 13-14 season. In 14-15 he'll be a better option than a freshman Elbertson imo.. As for Bolden, the staff should be able to get something out of a 6-10 uber athletic player. We always tout the staff for coaching kids up so let them go to work..

Bossi added this:
Did some calling around and Georgetown and Kansas are the two names that come up the most with Robinson. both have been in to see him a bit (3-4 times each this winter) and then the Texas schools like A&M, Texas and to some extent TCU are involved. Not 100% sure this goes down real soon. I think a lot of coaches are hoping that he takes his time so that they can get out and evaluate him a little more this spring because his high school situation isn't ideal for watching him because he plays for a team that is him and a bunch of little guys and they press all the time.

Hopefully next year Hopkins nor Bolden will be called apon to play the five after December. Along with Nate, that is not their natural position. Moses, Smith & Hayes should be the only players manning the paint next year. The Frontcourt rotation is deep enough.

I'm guessing Hop and Moses will split time at the 5 until Smith is eligible, and wouldn't be surprised to see both of them backing him up depending on the match up. Never ever want to see Bolden playing the 5 though. He's way too skinny for that and seems like a 4 all the way. In 2014, you'll have a Sr. at the 4 (Hop) and two Srs. at the 5 (Smith and Moses). Makes sense to bring in guys to step in afterward, especially given that Hayes and Bolden are completely unknown commodities at this point.

Get both, top 30-40 kids. Push some kids out the door. Quality depth is needed, but since they're '14 kids, we'll have time to see what Hayes has. Not counting Bolden; not sure if he'll be around. He got 0 run last year.

Elbert Robinson, 2014 C, LBA Dallas Seawolves: A no-brainer high-major prospect, Robinson was probably the best overall player in attendance at Clemson. At 6-foot-10 and 280-pounds, he is a force in the paint. He takes up tons of space with his wide body, and his shot-blocking ability causes problems for others. Surprisingly, he showed a nice touch around the rim and from the free-throw line. He will need to get in shape when he hits the next level, but he is definitely an elite prospect for now. future150.com/hs/basketball-news/big-shots-clemson-saturday-recap-2767
