Does not sound like we are on the top list in any event.

Interesting quotes here. ukrecruiting.bloginky.com/2014/11/29/thon-maker-in-position-to-reclassify-join-2015-class/He said Maker will be looking for a program that needs him to play right away, but also one that would have plenty of other talent around him. As Smith put it, they’ll be looking for a team that is “a Thon Maker away from being a really good team.” “Kentucky, this year, doesn’t need Thon,” he said with a laugh. “Maybe next year, they all go. You know? So you have to look at the situation at that time.”If he does reclassify to 2015, it's highly doubtful UK needs him to play right away. Even if all their bigs go pro which is highly unlikely, they have Skal in tow already. We could definitely fit the description of what he's looking for, but that means we need to make noise this year. Next year, as long as we get DSR back, we won't be a Thon Maker away from being a really good team. We will already be a top-10 team. If he wanted to come here, that's great. But we don't need Thon Maker. Not in any sense. In fact, If Thon were to come here, I don't think he would start

Pairing Thon with Copeland, White, Peak & DSR would be an unbelievable starting 5 that could run better than anybody.

Why the teasing? Why, oh why? Though that was the most standing around and doing nothing that I've ever seen in a mixtape.

Seen him play many times. He's a power forward who can play small forward offensively. In no way/shape/form is he even close to a center. He very much prefers playing on the perimeter. His competition would be paul/isaac, and I'm honestly not convinced he's a better player than either one. He certainly has the upside to be an NBA star (his ceiling is limitless)...but Isaac and Paul both have a good shot at playing in the NBA as well. Judging by the comments of his handlers, Thon wouldn't want to come here and have to compete for a job

He's very talented, but he's not the best big since AD....I can think of at least 3-4 since AD that are better

Okafor, definitely, no question, much more skilled at the same stage. Turner, probably...I'd probably take Maker is I'm looking long term.....Embiid is definitely a better talent. I thought Nerlens was a better talent at the same stage, because he's so elite defensively.

Again, this thread should die as it relates to a player who will never come to Georgetown.
