If he was gonna go it would have been after last season. He knows now that there is a place for him if he keeps working hard.

no way he goes, if he stays he has two years to play, if he goes, he has to sit out a year and only play one. he was redshirted a year. you only get five years total including red shirt or transfer sit outs.

it's all about trust. I used to think he'd bounce, but I agree; I think he stays. None impact on tonight's game...the final game of the season is Syracuse..stay ready cause I think you will see more PT for that game

You did not get major minutes till tonight...I liked your dunks, your energy, and the fact you put that guy on his ASS when he tried to do another high-lite dunk...We lost but I liked what you brought to the game...wish JTIII didn't wait til the NCAA's to give you so many minutes...well done well done...When it mattered JTIII had you in the game when there was no tomorrow also like that you used all your fouls in the 2nd half...I liked what I saw...you got the Eye of the Tiger..a hunger and a fear of losing...You need more PLAYING TIME PLEASE

Please work on your defense in the off-season. And your 3 point shot.

Everyone else had a "I told them hold the mayo" level of disgruntlement on their faces. Bowen looked hungry. That alone makes me cheer for him to get more minutes next year.

Agree with both of these comments. Honestly, only Markel and Bowen brought it last night. I'm glad he got extended minutes and look forward to him getting more minutes next year. Bowen is the type of player that becomes a star at one of these mid majors (ie Sherwood Brown) and somehow gets lost on our bench.

The question to think and not answer here: Will he stay? Been thinking this all year... Even if the kid isn't playing a ton, give him a specific role to make his own - if his specialty was nothing more than being an athletic defender and lethal transition player, at least he could own that and feel like he's contributing. That could make a huge difference for him. Even if he's only playing 10 mins or so, at least he could feel like he belongs out there and has a specific role instead of being the odd man out when he's on the floor like he is now. I put this on Thompson for not coaching to his players' strengths as well as he could. While unpolished and inexperienced, the kid has natural abilities that no one else on this team has. Let him use those abilities when he's on the floor. He can't shoot and he struggles to defend in the halfcourt. So put him out there when we wanna press/trap to force TOs and get easy buckets. The kid is built for that role.

Aaron simply needs a solid offseason of shooting & ball handling drills. He actually shot the ball decent to start the season & then lost confidence as his minutes dropped. I love his effort on the boards at both ends of the floor. There is absolutely no reason that a kid with his athleticism should not be a solid contributor on this team. He needs coaching & develoment. The raw talent & "want to" is there.

what game does he have to offer? He can jump sorry this is not track. Can't handle the ball, poor passer shooting is woefull. after 3 years in the program he has little idea of where to be on defense and for a kid with athletic ability his on ball defense is almost equal to his poor shot. So he can make an exciting jam and occasionally get to a lose ball. Thats not what I call a lot of game.
Best thing for Aaron would be to finish the year graduate and play at any school he wants next year.

I find it ironic that people have been clamoring for Bowen to get playing time for years, and now that he's getting it, so many people are saying he's not good enough and shouldn't be playing. Maybe John Thompson III and the coaching staff know a thing or two?
For the record, I'm not saying Bowen cannot contribute this year. I just think those who criticize John Thompson for not getting people enough playing time often clamor for something that would not help the team at all.
