We need to get more shots, we need to score more. No team in the BE got less shots per game than USF...yet, they had many more shots than us. We've never shown an ability to get a decent shot at the end of a game or half. Never. You could argue that our guys -- not for the past 10 years -- can't execute. I don't buy that. We need to get more shots up. No reason we should lose to a team like USF.

You are right, I can't think of a single game winning shot or right-before half time shot that has gone in for us in the past 10 years. Not a single one. Not one. Ever. Zero. None. Negative 10 actually. We've actually shot the ball up and out of the the bottom of the hoop 10 times in the last ten years in end of game situations.

It's just more frustrating for me as a fan who grew with the program and at the height of popularity in the sport. Georgetown operated as an elite program. They changed how sport was covered, the venues that hosted the tournament, and kids everywhere wanted to play for them. Going from that to what I see now and more painfully hear from several elite recruits and their families, sucks. Nobody likes how they play. They are selling something that isn't in demand and even worse don't seem to care to adjust to fit what they do. It's not rocket science, just look at what guys do well/don't do well, adjust, and most of all--let them have some fun. Does this team look like they have fun when they play? No. Do they make the games fun to watch for you? That is something each individual can answer but several fans have alluded to "this isn't fun to watch". While I agree with some of your bull$hit, this part is just too smelly for me. When you find your self longing for the good old days, why not run some tape, cause you are smoking good old 80s DC crack if you think our offense was either a) fun to watch or b) just a bunch of kids having fun doing what they were good at. Pops ran his system, players found a way to succeed within that and we won games by playing smashmouth G-fense. The reasons we were a nationally admired program have nothing to do with what your prescription for success is now and they are not relevant today - III can't be the national figure his father was for 1000 reasons, not the least of which is he is not a rare black coach who stands 6'10" and doesn't care what you think, who in fact tries to scare you. What could III do to create that aura? Nothing, and you know it was a historical anomaly. Your Xs and Os analysis has merits, but your kvetching about a close road loss like it was a nuclear meltdown is just sad. Look, we all long for the old days somehow, but let's be realistic too about what the old days were and also about how good we have it now with a very respectable program despite increasing odds against us as the game has become more sleazy and we have tried not to.

Lol seaweed. Couldn't agree more. It's amazing how old timers glorify the program's past beyond what it was and without recognition of how it was done.

South Florida shot 8-27 from three. To claim that three-point shooting is what beat us is missing the point of the game.

South Florida shot 8-27 from three. To claim that three-point shooting is what beat us is missing the point of the game. We lost the game because of turnovers. 15-4. It is tough to win a game when you give them 11 more possessions. Our defense played too soft and we had no answer for Collins.

So apparently you don't even watch the hoyas.

Health as so many good coaches motivate and coach-up good to average players to play a very good game.

Jessie Sapp from half court at end of first half. Jeff Green over Vanderbilt in the NCAAs. Roy Hibbert over UConn.

Agreed. The "R" in RDF must stand for Uncle Rico, because they are living in the same decade. Conveniently forgotten are the last 10 years of Pops regime. If RDF could go back in time, he would surely take State.
