White and Copeland will be the 3 and 4 next year. It's rather obvious and they will be interchangeable because our offense it doesn't matter. Defensively they need to improve but I trust they will get stronger. As far as the back up for the 5 hopefully it's Hayes or Mourning. Mourning just needs to get stronger. If he had leg strength he'd be playing now.

It seems pretty clear we need to sign one more big and one more PG for the 2015 class. Could we "get by" without them? Sure. But we have the schollies and the need. I don't think we can count on serious contributions from Hayes and Mourning next year - although it would be awesome if one or the other came through. We are relying on Jessie big time. If he turns an ankle or anything else happens, we are in deep trouble. Gotta get at least one more Big who can contribute. Not sure where such a youngster might come from, but we need him. Maybe a Euro kid? At the guard positions, we have DSR and Campbell, Peak. and... that's it right? Am I forgetting anyone? Jabril and Bowen will graduate.

Yeah, I think DSR stays to run PG, Peak moves down to SG, White goes to SF, Copeland goes to PF, and Govan is probably a starter day 1 at C.
Off the bench, you have Tre, Reggie, Derrickson, Trey, and Hayes. Gulp.
We need a tall big and a combo PG/SG who can stroke it.

Maybe not so crazy. He needed a stronger showing in the summer against other elite bigs to move up to Five Star status. He acquitted himself well but not enough to make that jump in the eyes of most gurus. That being said that doesn't mean that he won't end up being better than some of the five star bigs rated ahead of him as of this moment.

True -- he seems to be on the kind of nice upward trajectory that I love to see in a young big man, with his best days ahead of him.

Four assists in five games. Don't worry, Jessie, you'll learn to pass when you get here.

Jessie has a teammate named Boubacar on Wings Academy. He'll fit in just fine at Georgetown.

And once the two Wings stars did come back in, the blowout ensued. After only leading 31-26 at halftime, Wings, which will travel to the Stop DWI Holiday Classic in Binghamton Dec. 28-30, extended its lead to 47-37 by the end of the third quarter, and began the fourth quarter with an 11-4 run to take a 64-45 lead. Govan’s impact, and what Wings was missing in the first half, was evident once the forward came back into the game, as he scored 16 points in the second half in his team-high effort of 24 points. Meanwhile, Buie finished with 13 points after coming back in the game in the second half. “We feel like one through 15, everybody can contribute,” Govan said. “Those guys give us great energy off the bench and they did great today. They were all making shots, so it was a great team effort, a great team win.” www.nydailynews.com/sports/high-school/wings-flies-bench-article-1.2052932
