ryang is not impressed. Let's close the books on this one. Definitely not worth pursuing, esp. with all those 5s we have lined up. Agreed. He clearly put in a lot of legwork in scouting the kid. Probably watched upwards of 5 whole minutes of YouTube footage.

I like the sound of this kid! 6'10, wide body, rebounds, and has respect for the history of our program. Matter of curiosity: Who was the last NY guy we brought in? Jesse Sapp? Just saw video on YouTube. Not impressed. Clumsy and not a wide body. He'll be fine, he'll develop. He knows what to do. ....Tho he reminds me of Wesley Wilson - who should have been a better college player I see juice maybe sophomore year... if team doesn't have that luxury, pass. I'd take him tho with senior Hayes and if Trey is a center and goes to GU, i'd take him. There are more talented bigs in the '15 class tho

Having one that is likely to stick around and be a serviceable 4 year player is a plus while we still work on recruiting a 4/5 star stud. As of right now, for 2014 we have Smith and Hayes at the 5, with I'm guessing Hopkins being forced into minutes there as well. Smith and Hopkins are both gone for '15 which only leaves a senior Hayes. The only possible big I see us bringing in for 14' is Mourning, but even with him, it would still be wise to bring in 2 bigs in 15'.

JTIII: PLEASE put Mikael at his natural position. He needs to play wherever JT3 needs him. We'll see where that is when the roster is finally set. But, whether he likes it or not, he will need to help some at the 5.

Zach Braziller @nypost_Brazille Apr 18 Despite all of Wings Academy's @jgovan15 Jessie Govan's in-home visits, I'm told no commitment before the fall.

Visiting Gtown next week. Jessie Govan is visiting this week!!!!!! We need banners and posters throughout GU, at the bus stop, the railway, and even at the airport. The coaches have been working their ass off to fill the voids and as far as I can see they have left no stone unturned. We the fans need to embrace this kid and get him to sign before he leaves for home. Where’s the Jessie Govan blog Hoya fans? Go Hoya Saxa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would it still be possible to sign Raab/Comanche/Skaal/Other top 50 center type if we got Govan to commit on his visit? Could we sign him now (bird in the hand) and still add another top big guy? Or would Govan committing end those pursuits?
(This, of course, is all theoretical).
