Saw this kid this past summer for Team Takeover and I was smitten, and it appears Georgetown is involved. insider.espn.go.com/blog/dave-telep/post?id=2869When you go for 13 points and 19 rebounds against Oak Hill, people notice. This was certainly an eye-opening weekend for Paul VI junior center Quadree Smith. The young man stands at 6-foot-7 and he says 285 pounds (or north of it). Regardless of his size, the kid can play. I don’t think schools know what to do with the junior yet. He’s cut from the same mold as Devante Gardner (Marquette) and Reggie Johnson (Miami), but he’s not as tall. Check out his diverse list of suitors: Georgetown, George Mason, Robert Morris, Radford and Virginia. See what I mean? He’s got tremendous hands, nimble feet and he likes to run into people in the lane. You’d think a kid that big might entertain the thought of playing left tackle on the gridiron, but not this guy. He’s only running into bodies in his way en route to the rim.If Kennedy Meeks and BeeJay Anya are Top 50 types in 2013, no reason he shouldn't be in the same range in 2014, and in my opinion, he's better than both. Too fat. Same goes for Kennedy Meeks. Beejay Anya isn't as fat anymore, he's just not any good.
