UNREAL! Gansey is lighting it up!! This is NOT the team we beat a few weeks ago... what happened?!?!
This is one of the best games I've seen in the tournament in a good many years. Yeah there have been buzzer beaters and all that, but c'mon... a block on a backdoor cut to go to a second OT? Same guy hitting 3's to send it to both OT's? A double-digit comeback?! NASTY!!!
I love March. Go Big East.

Great game thus far, watching it in double OT right now.
Mike Gansey is ridiculous. He's all over the place. I swear over the last couple weeks hes morphed into Larry Bird. Just amazing how well hes playing. I've really taken to WVU over the BET and the NCAA's. I dont know how you could not root for this team, especially Gansey.

I love how Wake and BC (among others) were bitching and moaning about "respect" and all that crap. Just freakin shut up and win some games.
Am I the only one who thinks "respect" is now the most over used, meaningless catch-all phrase in sports? I'm so sick about "respect" this and "respect" that. Just shut the hell up and play the freaking game.

Gansey's line vs. BC last week: 22 points, no fouls.
At one point this season WV was 2-7 in Big East play. Since it lost to Georgetown on Feb. 12, WVU has won 8 of its last 10.

ANOTHER BLOCK!! GOOD GOD THIS IS AMAZING!!! And I thought the BC-UWM game was going to be the best of the day!
Pretty weak "carry" call.

They keep talking about this Herber kid, and all I can think of is George Costanza:
"You know what's interesting? The quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons is Bobby Hebert...no "r," which I find fascinating! You know? It's Herbert: h-e-r-b-e-r-t, "Ay-Bear:" h-e-b-e-r-t. "Hebert" it's a fun name to pronounce. Try and say it. Hebert. Take a shot."

Always great to see a Big East team advance to the sweet 16. Even sweeter when they do it beating a highly ranked ACC team. Hopefully UConn (over NC State) and Villanova (over UNC) will follow suit. Too bad SU doesn't get a shot to do the same to Duke.

YES! I am back in my bracket. I actually picked this game and WVU to go to the elite 8, now all they have to do is beat Texas Tech. Sweetness. Great to see Andy Katz look like an idiot 2 years running (he picked stanford to win it all last year). This is really good for the Big East which has struggled so far. Now all we need is Nova to beat UNC and the Big East will be crowned.

Congratulations to you guys. I was out to dinner, and the last score I had heard had Wake up by 9 or 10. The bar TV was turned on (we were close enough to see it, as the restaurant is pretty small) and WVU was up 98-94! You could have picked my jaw up off the floor. I will be the first to admit I didn't believe in West Virginia. I thought their Big East run was a fluke resulting from 3 consecutive days of hot shooting, and that they would lose to Creighton (which, of course, they almost did).
But I will now say this is frigging FANTASTIC! FANTASTIC! Having a middling Big East team hand it to one of the lords of the almighty ACC is the highlight of this tournament so far for me. The only way it would have been better is if WVU's opponent had been Duke.

Prediction: UConn puts the smackdown on State by 15.
Nova beats Florida and then takes out the Tarheels in a close one.
The Big East: America's premiere conference for men's college basketball

Does Louisville-Ga Tech count in the Big East-ACC head to head?

Does Louisville-Ga Tech count in the Big East-ACC head to head? I count it as such. I am cheering for Louisville in that one for sure, although I do not do the same for some other BE teams, such as SU(cks).
