Anyone know what the word on JWIII is? He announces in a week. Tennessee boards think it's between us and Mizzou. Any thoughts?

Jaquan Newton is going to be really good. Unfortunately he's going to be really good for Villanova.

Did anybody notice that GW's MM is at Ft Myer? That's weird. Yeah I second this. Why?

This should have been in the normal forum like in previous years. I though midnight madness was next week when I didn't see anything posted in the normal forum yesterday. It was only when I saw the Syracuse Stabbing Midnight Madness thread that I realized that Madness was yesterday.

This thread was initially one in the recruiting section asking which recruits might attend MM and nobody started a separate one. Since 2 people have now asked it to be moved into the main forum, it has been moved.
Sorry you missed it professorhoya, but there were plenty of other venues announcing MM including the front page, GUHoyas.com, Casualhoya, and the Washington Post just to name a few.

So it is Sunday afternoon and there is still not one first hand account of what happened Friday posted? No "impressions"? Please dont tell me that all that's left on this board are kvetch-sessions and childish negativity? Some body, say something, soon!

Well there are really only students there, so it may just be a function of how many current students there are on the board right now and how many of them were at midnight madness. Doug E Fresh performed, and was quite good. Starks called out JTIII to dance. All of these things can be learned from the Hoya and Voice twitter feeds from that night, which is where i read them.

You can pretty much watch the whole event by going to the Georgetown Athletics Youtube page: www.youtube.com/user/GeorgetownAthletics?feature=g-all-uThey have videos of the entire night including the player announcements, the dunk contest, the student performances, the player performances, etc.

What "impressions" are we supposed to glean from Midnight Madness other than who is the best dancer on the team?
It's basically a pep rally for the students that follows the same format every year.

My impression: Groove Theory needs to perform at more Georgetown games.

I thought Doug E. was pretty good, but I'm a Doug E. fan. The whole MM thing is corny to me, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Lizziebeth, it's a fun event to celebrate Georgetown basketball. That's enough to pique my interest.
