Tre getting some recognition for the two most recent games by going back onto first team All Met Watch by the Post this AM (link below; had fallen to not even "on the bubble"). "All Met Watch" rather notoriously shall-we-say "mercurial?" ("random" also works) during the season, but nonetheless good to see him getting some recognition on top of St. John's coach McAldoon perhaps unleashing the fury a bit against McNamara and Good Counsel (now coached by ex-Hoya Robert Churchwell, who is having a bumpy first year at 0-15 in the WCAC). Couple fun facts: Churchwell took over at Good Counsel this year after one year at Benedictine outside Richmond -- which won the VISAA state title game last year (beat O'Connell in the final). He succeeded the current St. John's coach (McAldoon) at Benedictine, after many successful years in Georgia coaching the Harrison High School Hoyas (no joke - school built in early 90s/liked and licensed the name from Georgetown I understand, and sheer coincidence Churchwell ended up there...) www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/sports/highschools/2013-14/all-met-watch/basketball/week-8/

Yes, this team would definitely compliment Bowen's style.

Yes, this team would definitely compliment Bowen's style. True, but would he even get any playing time next year?

Well see, that's what I am always talking about, player development. We just need to let these kids play from day one.

I still say that Tre is the most important of the '14 recruiting class. If Tre can run the show we can be special next year. If we need DSR and Bril to play the majority of the PG minutes it will be an average year at best. All we need is for Tre to be able to control the flow, play solid D, and stick a J from time to time.

DSR will get his 35 & Jabril will get close to 30 next year..

Josh Stirn @josh_Stirn 23m FINAL: McNamara 73, St. John's 68. For the second straight year, the number one seed goes down in round one. Huge game by Jamir Moultrie!
Yikes….

The PG on this team doesn't really do much but bring the ball up and look to score. DSR can handle it.

disagree about tre he will be the starter at point from day 1.he will be a star at Georgetown, watch and see he is athletic and has speed.and a clutch player.he will be the best out of the recruiting class coming in. peak will be the 2nd best.white is not athletic enough.copeland will play some but will not be as good as Campbell and peak. it will be tre and dsr with trawick at the 3 Hopkins at 4 and smith at 5 if he makes it in school.hayes will get time at center and will start being a force by mid season. he should be starting at center now.he just needs playing time.why is he not playing he is better then Hopkins. I saw him practice he is a lot better this year. go Hoyas.

Possibly worse than this year if the Big East is stronger. I actually see the recruits reversed, with Peak and Campbell playing sparingly and infrequently at the beginning of the season especially.
