Men defeat Seton Hall 2-0 this afternoon. In addition Providence did indeed knock off uconn 1-0 today in providence. We just need providence to manage a tie in stoors this weekend.
Marquette and ND play tonight in south bend and then in milwaukee on saturday. As long as one team doesn't win both we should be able to pass them both.

So we need Marquette to win Saturday after ND rolled them 3-1 last night?
Assuming UCONN wins at home would we finish 2nd with a W? 1st if UCONN ties?

If I understand correctly, we lost head-to-head against ND and Uconn and would lose the tiebreaker against either if two of three win out. I can't imagine we have any way to jump either of them if all three post Ws in their regular-season finales, which would leave GU at 3rd. Right?
If that's the case, we need to beat SHU and get help from an MU win/tie and a PC win/tie to finish in first.

A Marquette win is only good if UConn doesn't win its game. Otherwise, it'll relegate us to the 3 seed. If the Hoyas, Marquette and UConn all win they all finish tied at 6-2. UConn beat Hoyas who beat Marquette who beat UConn. It then goes to best common opponent which would then be ND. UConn beat ND and Marquette would be 1-1.

Too clear something up. As long as we win on saturday we will still be crowned co champions. The tie breakers are just for determining the #1 seed in the tournament. So we really just have to win to "win" the BE. But obviously that's not as satisfying as winning it out right and getting that #1 seed, for that to happen we need some help, but to be BE champions in name we just have to beat seaton hall.

Wait, I think I've gotten lost here... we're only talking about a division championship, right? Louisville has a chance to go to 7-1 if they beat Cincy, which would give them the best record in the Big East, and they're not part of this discussion at all.

Georgetown Claims at least a tie of the BE Blue Division Championship with a way too hard 1-0 win over seton hall. No matter what happens now Hoyas are at least Co Champions. Yes since there are divisions there are divisional BE regular season champions. There are two #1 seeds in the BET one for each Division winner.
Hoyas should have won 8-0. But they could not finish at all today even had 2 PKs saved.
Providence v. Uconn kicks off a 4pm and Marquette v. ND at 7pm.
But no matter what Hoyas have a share of the division championship. But always better to win out right and get the higher seed. We need Uconn and ND not to win any other results give the #1 seed to gtown.

And for the men they got the #2 seed in the blue division since Uconn beat providence and ND and Marquette tied. They're co champs with Uconn.
Men play St. John's at home on Saturday at 1pm in the BET quarter finals st. John's is the 3 seed from the red division.

For those who were planning on going or watching the women's semifinal match tomorrow the game has been moved to 2:30pm and has moved from storrs to the East Hartford Campus due to Hurricane Sandy's effects. The game is on CBS college sports for those who hope to watch.

End of 2nd OT. Uh, oh, are we faced with the dreaded shootout? I believe we are.
