Great, objective reporting on the development of our young Hoyas. I, too love the depth. It seems like JT3 and staff have come to realize that this is a key element of success. I hope they also decide to build this team around Porter and Wittington--and just let those young bucks run. We have to move away from this tentative--overly tentative style of play. It makes us too predictable.

Posted this last night in the regular thread after returning from McDonough, but want to be sure folks planning to attend (hopefully including FLHoya) know of the DCX and Tombs game changes tonight/tomorrow. The bulletin board standing in the end zone at McDonough with the schedule now has a triple header for tonight, Friday July 27: DCX (Greg, Jabril) vs Emery Heights (Aaron) is the second game, starting at 8:05 instead of previous time of 8:50, now followed by The Tombs vs Town Tavern at 9:25. That rare third night game is listed on the regular schedule (the one linked on the front page here, for example) for Saturday at 4:00 pm. The rest of week-end schedule we care about stays the same.

Question for those who have watched Kenner this year. Has Greg been as unimpressive as the various comments on him seem to be? I have been hoping he would be the second best contributor on the team. Am I likely to be disappointed?

Am I likely to be disappointed? Greg is playing fine and developing those people who keep knocking him are tripping lol...he's doing just fine just needs to get in the weight room he's kicking ass when he needs to remember there are 4 other players on the floor and bench it's a team game ...

Greg has had an underwhelming Kenner League. That being said, Henry Sims had All-American Kenner League summers that resulted in less minutes than Jerrelle Benimon.
It's hard to read too much into this stuff.

No and yes. I don't actually know, but I just thought I'd throw in the one remaining option.

I jotted down the top 4 teams in each division(didn't write down the records) as I left the Kenner League yesterday, these are through Friday's games though, but a lot of it will probably stay the same:
HYPER DUNK 1. High Level 2. Premier Athlete 3. Tombs 4. Hoop Magic
HYPER AIR 1. Clyde's 2. DCX 3. Team Takeover 4. Beyond Belief
Hoop Magic may be the only team who did not finish in the top 4. Emery Heights Elite or On Point would replace Hoop Magic as the 4th place team in that division. Team Takeover and Beyond Belief won on Sunday, so they probably finished ahead of A.Wash Associates who lost on Saturday.

Worst Kenner League in awhile, mainly because of the Tombs.
I'm in no way saying that this is a harbinger of things to come, but c'mon. Bad, bad Kenner League for a Hoyas partisan.

Two real good games last night first playoff game Beyond Belief vs. Higher Level ...HL was led by their point guard George Mason's Bryon Allen and alumni Will Thomas in the quarter final win last night...BB super guard Isaiah Swann (Florida State/Germany) was a no show, but still had Maryland alumni's James Gist and Darryl Strawberry, Jr and the rest of their great players...Allen's ability to control the tempo of the offense and take over was key..Will Thomas was a man as usual. Really love how one can see how he loves the game of basketball. If that young man was at least 6-8 6-9 he would easily be in the NBA!!! One time he was on the right side of the court got down low and drove and dunked right on James Gist who is somewhat taller than the undersize big Will Thomas. I was like whoaaaa...
Team Takeover vs. Premier Athletics... TTO had sir Jason Clark, Victor Oladipo, Blake etc. Before the game it looked like TTO would run over PA because they only had six players. Normally, this team is stacked. As a matter of fact they used two players from the previous game (Beyond Belief)...The score remained close throughout the game, I was really surprised...Kid from Missippippi Valley State (5-6 or 5-7) smallest player on the court keep his team in the game knocking down three's and attacking the rim, he was in full control of the game...TTO stayed up but PA keep creeping...By the second half they had a full roster. All of their players showed up Ernie Graham Jr. (big) ...Kid from the Lakers, I forgot his name, he's a shot blocker and the rest...PA pulled it out to also advance to the semifinals...I can tell you one thing these two games tonight Clydes' vs. On Point & DCX vs. Tombs will be awesome and tomorrow two games starting at 1 the other @ 2:20...Kenner will be rocking these team ALWAYS play hardddddddd...you'd be surprised at the instensity of these Kenner Summer League games, I mean I stay and watch every game even when folks start saying to themselves this game is gonna be a blowout...It starts as such but but 5 minutes in the game these team raise up and the game ends up in overtimes or a one or two point win... Kenner is crazy I love it...

Domingo tweeter earlier that he had study hall and then the Kenner League game later and I thought it was interesting he would say that.
I'm at the game so if he does suit up, I'll post it.
