More track leading up to the Olympic trials. In Indianapolis this result from the 800m:
1 Waite, Ryan BYU 1:48.21 US B
2 Hernandez, Jacob Unattached 1:49.10
3 Romaniw, Anthony Speed River Tfc 1:49.48
4 Ledder, Billy Georgetown 1:49.54
5 Stockstell, Aaron Unattached 1:49.84
6 Pawlaczyk, Luke Team Michigan El 1:50.44
7 O'Brien, James Indiana Invaders 1:50.97
8 Carrillo, Juan Indiana Invaders 1:51.11
9 Humes, Stephen Unattached 1:51.36
Billy looks to be consistent in breaking 1:50 in his redshirt year. Incoming freshman Ahmed Bile won the New Balance HS national 800m in 1:49.85.
In the New Jersey International Invitational a number of present and past Hoyas ran.
Amanda Kimbers was most impressive in winning the 100m and 200m runs (actually she ran only the 100m prelims, but had the fastest time of the day) in 11.25 and 23.47, respectively. In the 1500m Maggie Infeld finished 4th in 4:09.57 and Renee Tomlin finished 6th in 4:12.3, in a race won by Sheila Reid of Nova, who just beat Lucy Van Dalen of Stony Brook (and NZ). Lucy was coming off a 4th in the NCAA 1500 (Emily Infeld was 3rd in that race).
Chelsea Cox was 6th in the 800m in 2:05.88 and Toby Ulm was 4th in the 400H in 52.18. Incidentally, the men's 800m race at this meet is named after the all-time Georgetown great (and NJ native) Rich Kenah.
