Several weeks ago, I was afraid of all of Skal's eligibility concerns and said Do Not Want/Do Not Touch. I maintain the same position today.

The school is funded by 2 Kentucky boosters. It's Cal's way of making sure no one else can have Skal if he can't. that's cool - i guess we will never see skal in NCAA Guess not. No wonder we had Kapita on an official last week. Well I was wrong. Didn't factor in his guardian was such a massive screw up.

I trust that the staff will not sign a recruit to a LOI until his eligibility status has been examined thoroughly. We'll see...

Jerry Meyer @jerrymeyer247 16m16 minutes ago The more I gather on Skal Labissiere, the more I agree w @grantmilner that it is unlikely SL will play college ball. bit.ly/1lCo35J

Do not want. The guy will place zero emphasis on earning the degree. Can't take him. Not a good fit.

collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/10/28/skal-labissiere-reach-your-dreams-prep-and-why-this-isnt-as-scuzzy-as-it-sounds/It’s worth noting here that one of high school basketball’s most powerful programs, Findlay Prep, isn’t an actual school. The players there take classes at the Henderson International School.Labissiere is not a bad kid. He’s friendly, he’s a fun interview and I’ve yet to come across someone with something negative to say about him beyond the decisions he is making with his career. This doesn’t seem like a cash grab or a bid to try and get him some core courses at the last minute.
This is a desperation move being made for a basketball player that doesn’t have a basketball team to play for.I doubt the kid comes to G'town but for all we know he may have his core credits and qualifying SAT or ACT scores..

Pastner should back out this one. We already got our 1 5* for 2015 and should top it off with Kapita. Skal is probably going to get deported for the mess his guardian has put him in.

Henderson International School no longer has a high school, so they aren't taking classes there. My guess is they have a special curriculum for the basketball players at "Findlay Prep," possibly in connection with Henderson International School. Findlay is dressed up better than this thing Skal is doing, but it isn't exactly a legitimate full blown school either.

I have no idea what's going on with this situation but if he wants to be a Hoya and the staff believes it's a fit academically then I'd be ecstatic to have him as part of the 2015 class.
